Cops say Stephanie left a note for her husband and her parents saying that her failing marriage drove her to death. Police report that Stephanie said that she was going to drive her car into the Ohio River near the Grand Victoria Casino.
Police say Stephanie was driving a green 1997 Nissan Pathfinder with Ohio license plates ADH7739.
Car Spotted Near Ohio River
On April 19, 2002, Stephanie was stopped by a Rising Sun police officer near a boat ramp to the Ohio River for failing to dim her headlights. The officer told Delhi authorities that he saw the two children alseep in the back seat of the car. Police say Stephanie was driving a green 1997 Nissan Pathfinder with Ohio license plates ADH7739, but that was the last time Stephanie, John and Kristina Nguyen were seen.
Police have searched the Ohio River with dive teams and sonar equipment, but so far, there has been no trace of Stephanie Nguyen or her two children, John and Kristina. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has released age-progressed photographs of John and Kristina Nguyen.
