My daddy disappeared off a sailboat in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This was on August 16, 1981. His body has never been found. It has been suggested that his death was faked.

I would like to find out information about the situation, including getting a copy of the police file, and contact with his friends and wife who were on the boat with him. Any information would be helpful. I would like a chance to say goodbye if needed, or to re-establish contact with him wherever he may be. I miss him terribly.

I'm sorry about your father. Have you tried contacting the law enforcement agency that handled the investigation to see if you can get copies of his file? That would be a good start. Also, if you have more information (physical description, circumstances of disappearance) and a photo if possible, he can be posted in the Missing Persons forum on this site and possibly other missing persons sites. I hate to mention this, but if his death really was faked he may not want to be found. Good luck with your search!
