What I'd really like to see is a creature with only one leg coming from the top of its torso curving down in front of it. How would it walk or interact?

A Rolling hop, maybe?

Well, this thread will balloon once we get a better look at the creature editor, or, god forbid, a demo of it.

Im planning on making a Murloc from World of Warcraft =P imagine a massive murloc race annialating other planets, maybe ill make a tauren race for them to fight with. XD

Hey, I'll make Trogdor the Burninator! If you've never heard of Trogdor, Google it. He's a dragon with wings, sharp teeth, flame breath and a big beefy arm coming out the back of his neck.

Fun. I'm not sure. I think I want to something random, yet something that looks...plausible, I suppose. I don't want something like an extra arm on its head or anything.

Mine wont have eyes on its face. They will be on teh tail. It will have a mouth on its errrm hands . The arms will be on his head...... all 9 of them. He wont have legs. He'll slither like a snake.

hopefully we canmake a creature with both gills and lungs.im thinking i might makean upsidown walking trident with a tail. think of how that thing would fight lol. screw reality im going nutso on creature creation.

I don't know about even having eyes on my creature right now... as the eyes in the game seem a little too cartoonish for me, and for the creature stage i want something.. realistic.. of course to an extent.. but not looking like it popped out of loony toons or something.

I don't think all of the eyes are too cartoonish. Also, in the demos we've seen all the creatures have been given pretty big eyes.

Which makes me worry. I wasn't exactly expecting my game to be cartoonish with huge eyes and all that, but with all the previews they have had a cartoony look to them. I was going to try for a more realistic approach with mine, not exactly bugs bunny and daffy duck with eye problems.

from what ive seen you can size virtually anything so you can probably make the eyes pea sized if you wanted

That's what I meant. I think the eyes only look that cartoony because the people we've seen so far like making them really big. Some of the more complex eyes don't look that cartoony at all.

Is it possible to have a spider-like creature? cause i would have my most strongest intrest in creating such a creature!

You bet it's possible! That's one of the reasons they said it had been delayed so many times. Not only to perfect and spit-shine the system itself (which Maxis is generally known for.) But also to make sure characters could have the utmost control over their creations and where they wanted to take the game.
So you want a blob with mouths on its tentacles and eight eyes. Go for it. If you want a goofy looking spider with 20 legs, two mouths, and one eye? I'm willing to bet my stuff it's possible. Besides, i think the spore website has a picture of a staff-created spider... hmm let's look..

Okay, so not exactly a spider, more of a tick or flea.. only jumbo.. but still shows the possibility for a spider, easily!

That's awesome. Though I wonder if it is at all possible to make a creature to be as similar as possible to the trolls in WoW, lol.

most of my creatures are going to have 4 legs.. or more. I dont really like 2 legged creatures. :mellow:

but alot of the time mine are going to be red with um.. hmm. probebly silver if possiblle. or green. I wont be sure till I try it. >.<

Welcome to spore forums kany-chan. Also I'm pretty sure you'll be able to make your creature silver. ;)

Intresting ideas you have there, as for me i'll experiment with different possibilities of creatures and see which i like the most.

Our only chance of a sudden comeback is if we get some actual news about spore.

We could put some fake news on the net and put "braught to you by z10.invisionfree.com/spore" on it.

That'd be sooo pointless, but yet it could be funny in a way. Kind of like how tabloids are.
