Yay, I'm glad you like it. Sorry that I can't go more fancy with the font, the program I use can only do so much.

What program do you use Rein?

The whole name is "Microsoft Picture it! Photo 7.0". It is only the trial version though....I think it came with the computer when we got it.

just imagine what you could do with photoshop rein. ;)

She'd probably do great in Photoshop :P ...I wouldn't know though...I'm only using Paint Shop Pro 8. I think it's a beta or test version though.... :blink:

It's too bad that programs like that cost so much money. I asked for a graphics program like that for my birthday but they all seemed to cost around 500$.

They sell them to companies so they charge tons of money since the companies would be willing to pay that much. It's the little people that get hurt in the long run!

And REALLY! Does it cost THAT much to make a program. If it only costs $50 for The Sims 2 which as animations and all, why does a PHOTO AND PAINT program have to cost ten times as much? :blink:

Ace you have to keep in mind more people will buy SIMS 2 than a paint program. Plus SIMS 2 will have plenty expansions unlike paint programs and i bet if you add up the money you spent on SIMS 2 after all expansions are bought and SIMS 3 is out it will total about the same.

That's not quite the point, though Coffee. What happens if you DON'T buy the Sims 2 expansion packs? You're looking at ten times the price.

Plus, like I said, the reason they charge $50 for the Sims 2 is because it costs them a specific amount to make a product and then some extra money for profit. But they don't do that with the paint programs. They take a product that COULD cost us about $50-120 but they decide not to...what constitutes the HUGE price? :blink:

Hey Rein, you do an awesome job. I have Photoshop and its not all its cracked up to be, you can get a free image editing program which is almost as good.

Its called the GIMP (really weird name) but its free (although quite a hassel to download) and has most of the stuff on photoshop I think the address ishttp://www.gimp.org if you wanted to find out more.

Oh awesome! I will for sure have to check into that. I'm not that great at doing avatars since I can't do any cool font, but I try. The buttons in my sig I made, notice how the font is all black? :rolleyes:

It's not the price of the CD that makes something cost, it's the production costs. A CD is pretty simple and easy to make in alrge numbers. The reason photoshop is more expensive is because it will be sold in far fewer numbers, and so needs to be more expensive in order to get enough money to pay everyone. Also, photoshop was a LOT harder to make than, say, sims 2, or pretty much any other game out there. There's a reason it's the most successful photo editing tool.

Actually, I got lucky, and have photoshop. Not the full thing, of course, but photoshop elements, which has plenty for what I use it for. Of course, the only reason I have it is because my dad's company uses it, and he let me install it onto my computer since there's no limit on the number of times it can be installed.

Ah...but nearly everyone has an editor on their computer of SOME kind...and most either have PSP or Photoshop. Considering the fact that PSP 10 currently costs $99.99 whereas Photoshop is $649.99. PSP is a GREAT editor, I use PSP 8 and it does just about everything I need it to do. Even if Photoshop is AMAZING, what makes it worth 6.5 times as much as PSP? And who says it costs more to make than The Sims 2?

I have Photoshop Elements, it may be the ghetto version, but it costs less. I can't see myself spending a fortune on Photoshop anyway.

Take photo(s) you want, stick them on a cavas, write what text you want over it, flatten them, save to jpeg. Basically.
