Title: what will your planet be like?
Description: TOP SECRET!!!!

Dragonspore - November 25, 2006 09:11 AM (GMT)
my planet is probably going to be a desert planet... with a few oasises. :P

Mr Cheese - November 26, 2006 03:29 AM (GMT)
Mine will be a caribbean-looking planet with islands everywhere. I hope that they keep the water creatures idea... Wait, new thought. Can the land creatures swim? I really hope so, because it would definitely help.

Dragonspore - November 26, 2006 07:02 AM (GMT)
i don't think so... but i think they can walk under water :)

jasonsporelover - November 26, 2006 10:16 AM (GMT)
i'll have my planet so full of teckno city you will see very little land

Dragonspore - November 26, 2006 11:33 AM (GMT)
in other words a techno planet... ;)

Strabo - November 27, 2006 04:36 AM (GMT)
Do you mean a city-planet, like Coruscant?

That would be sweet.

Dragonspore - November 27, 2006 04:54 AM (GMT)
i aggree :)

ilikepie - November 27, 2006 04:55 AM (GMT)
hmm good qestion hmm mabye it will have 5 kinds of landscapes one part will be all frozen one part will be like grassland forest another part would be like savanah and another rainforest then the last one would be like all volcanoe

Keys - November 27, 2006 05:51 AM (GMT)
If we're able to choose the planet we start of in.. i'd probably choose a lush planet covered in a forest with raging rivers and waterfalls... a... creature utopia so to speak.

If i get my way with the game i don't think i'll advance tot he tribal/civilization stages as soon as i can. I'll shoot out of the micro age and into the multi-celled critter stages and stay there for as long as i can. Thus a jungle world seems perfect for me. I'm more into the design a creature and maul smaller creatures idea.

Dragonspore - November 27, 2006 07:45 PM (GMT)
that is also my second option. :)

Jonat - November 28, 2006 12:59 AM (GMT)
Mine would be an icy/frosty moon orbitting a jupiter-like planet, that way, the majority of my creatures have to be mostly nocternal and rely on some kind of heat emissions and/or intelligence to eat and drink.

I don't think that's possible, however cool. You'd just have lots of circular cities plotted next to one another, which would break up the idea of one "City planet"

Mr Cheese - November 28, 2006 08:01 AM (GMT)
But I saw in a video some buildings outside of the main city. And when Will dropped the guy in the arid planet, there were defence turrets out of the main city.

Dragonspore - November 29, 2006 04:52 PM (GMT)
that was the main city defences and local farms etc.

Mr Cheese - November 30, 2006 08:18 AM (GMT)
There were also buildings scattered over the home planet, and even if they are just defence turrets and farms, you can make them look however you want. I think the idea is plausible.

Keys - November 30, 2006 04:27 PM (GMT)
Disguise your defense turrets as giant farmlands  thats not a bad idea..

Dragonspore - November 30, 2006 04:29 PM (GMT)
true

SporeFox - December 1, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
Either a giant rainforest/forrest planet with a few big lakes, a meadow/saffari planet or a planet with lots of water...or one with lots of water, forrests and a few big cities...

Dragonspore - December 2, 2006 08:49 AM (GMT)
or that one with the water and the trees sticking out :P

and it also gives you time to single out any other players' designs that your not happy with, insted of speeding through and finding out your natural prey are walking, giant penises.

whoa that sounds freaky *shivers* :o

Keys - December 8, 2006 04:37 PM (GMT)
I have no doubt that'll happen. but on the bright side you can ban user's creations from your universe. Or just destroy the planet when you're at the space age!

Dragonspore - December 8, 2006 04:46 PM (GMT)
or if they are on your homewourld you could beam up your whole civilization and 2 of every creature on the planet exept that player's creatures and thenblow up the planet and terraform a big moon and start a new life....

Keys - December 8, 2006 04:51 PM (GMT)
Thats a good point! Good idea Dragonspore.

Jonat - December 9, 2006 11:21 AM (GMT)
Hey! A thought on the actual topic on-hand, i wonder if you can have like, double ring-shaped planets like they show on Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy..

in response to wat u said
wouldnt it be easyer and funer to beam up there whole civalisation
and put them on a hostile planet.
it would be funny to see them
a)die
or
B)colonise and mabye destroy your enemys hhmm

Dragonspore - December 10, 2006 07:17 AM (GMT)
well not realy because if u die then your WHOLE civ dies too....

jasonsporelover - December 11, 2006 08:18 AM (GMT)
i dont so much see how you die from picking up the penisesis(example)and put them on a hostile planet and watch them destroy the enemy city or they themselves die
