Anyone else heard of the game yet?

I'd known about it for a while but hadn't been one to check in on progress and watch it idly like we all have been for spore.. but its looking more and more promising as it goes on.

What is it?

Elveon is an RPG/3rd person medieval style combat game set during the era when Elves were fresh off the Gods' hands and into the new world. Where the supernatural from hell (Draemora like creatures if you played Oblivion). When the Elves were no more than a few hundred years of a century old into their prosper yearning for the power they feel they deserved as downcast children of the gods.

To its basic. Elveon looks great asa game. For myself, i've never really liked Lord of the Rings (i mean, i enjoy it.. i'm just not all into it) and the idea of Orcs, Elves, Humans, Dwarves, and gnomes doesn't appeal to me as much as say... lightsabers, force powers, blasters, and vehicles that hover on air.

What the game is about in its own and what it holds for players is the ability to take the role of an elven elite warrior in the early ages of the Elven civilization. You hold the ability to customize your style of fighting (and maybe your character/weapons.. hasn't been released yet) in a unique game world that boats mainly 3rd person sword/stave/dagger/claymore/etc fighting against demonic opponants (who aren't 30 feet tall with smoke coming out their noses and the ability to shoot flames from their hands but more like the traditional knight warrior) with a hint of roleplaying and exploration to it.

I don't know what it is.. but the game really attracts me.. It seems VERY tradition in my view.. very basic yet still with a major draw... i'm impressed by it. There isn't all these super magic attacks and way too overly-done opponants it looks like. Just something thats very traditional, to the point and sticks to what stories told.. its not extremely fantacuitical.

IGN - Elveoin (X360)

Elveon will so far be released on the PC and the Xbox 360 using the Unreal 3 engine.

Shouldn't this be in the Non-Sim Games board?

Ace - August 26, 2006 05:21 AM (GMT)
Erm...the first link leads to Jack Thompson toilet paper? Why?

It sounds interesting, but I don't understand why you have a toilet paper thing for the first one...but then an IGN thing is the actual game.

Ooh...and I have to move this, like Shadow said.

SporeFox - September 9, 2006 02:25 PM (GMT)
um... yeah...is the game suddenly about toilet paper?

Keys - September 9, 2006 08:04 PM (GMT)
link fixed. I don't know why the URL was of jack thomspon toilet paper.. but eh, oh well.

and does it really have to be in non-sims? afterall, it was in chat.. and it is a chat.. about an upcoming setup. Oh well though.

Some of them do, but from different posters. but like the one above it all follows the same theme "The above poster has said.." kinda thing, which leads me to think its not exactly human? But then again...
