imagine the wii version, it's motion controled, so, you'll have to maybe swish the controler down to make you creature bite, or something!!!!

That's cool. The wimote sure would be cool for a game like spore. It'd be like a mouse (except it uses more effort to use).

Too bad us PSP owners are left in the dust. Oh well. Back to watching Pirates of the Carribbean on my PSP :)

Right now Will Wright has said that as of current. Its most likely going to be PC only.. however after seeing the latest technology he MAY consider putting it to other platforms such as the PS3 and whatnot later down the road in development. So the option is still open if i remember/read correctly.

Yeah it was rumored but the latest couple of interviews (especially the latest IGN) they ask him about what platforms and he states that his team and he were intrigued by the next gen consols coming out but as of currently, they only have plans for the PC.

I would be happy with Spore on the PSP as long as they had most of the game modes in it- even if it only has up to the city stage, I would be thrilled. I would be in shock if they stuffed the entire game into a 1.27 GB UMD disc. Of course, I suppose that they could put it on more than one disc.

On the PSP version it wouldn't suprise me if they could fit the game onto one 1.27Gb CD. The game itself shows to be very small considering what normally takes up the space on a game CD isn't the levels and quests and dialogue and whatnot. its the individual content.. and since most of the content is going to be VERY small around the low kb size.. it wouldn't suprise me if it could fit.

However if not. It'll probably have the game sized down some from the entire universe to say a couple galaxies or so.

Strabo - August 19, 2006 07:19 AM (GMT)
Yah. . . like with the Oblivion DVD. About 3 gigs of the 4.6 was textures. The rest was sound and other assorted stuff. (this is from memory, I used WinDirStat to find out. The biggest single file on my PC is. . . a 3 GB DVD rip of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. 2nd biggest is a rip of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, at 2.9 GB)

SporeFox - August 19, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
i wonder how they're gonna make it for DS...even though some games have wi-fi connection it still must be hard to fit a huge game like that into an inch-lon chip..

Keys - August 20, 2006 05:14 AM (GMT)
Biggest file on my PC is a 10gb file for two accounts and many modifications/games for Valve's steam.

The DS will probably be the same thing. You'll be confined to a much smaller area, like a couple solar systems on the DS, a galaxy or few on the PSP, and the player universe on the PC.

Stage by Stage.
