Does this really count as a game? alot of people are more aless fluent in it lol,its quite easy once you get the jist.

Also why not use proper l337 speak rather than the even n00bier if possible version, which makes it pointlessy easy to read.

Anyway sporefox said: "*throws rock after dragonspore*"

Why did the rubber chicken cross the road?
To stretch its legs.

Its pretty simple if you look at it, as is all l33t, the character combination visually represent specific letters, which can be easy read by humans, but is near impossible for machine translations to pick up on, hence allowing the messages to escape word filters and monitoring of the connections. Which is why the script kiddies all used it.
More advanced users tend just to use a form of public key encryption :P

Tis simple stuff and useful for making fun of the "Ub3R 1337 H4XX0rZ Wh0 thr3ten to PWNZOR " people all the time, when they cant make heads or tails of the language there trying to imitate anyway :P 101@5(|2!?7 |<!|)|)!35

Also a good way of making hard to read conversations on forums, alot of people end up just using binary/hex or something although its all machine translatable.

No its simply the binary behind standard 8 bit ascii code. Aka whats used to store the text your seeing now on the computer hard driver... or technicaly speaking, more likly in the RAM.
Its pretty simple stuff, basicaly each character on the keyboard is mapped to a specific number, 8 bits of binary are used to store those numbers.
Ascii charts are everywhere and counting in binary is piss easy :P

You could store the same stuff hexadecimally also

63 6f 6f 6c 20 61 69 6e 74 20 69 74

(theres actualy crap messages stored in all of em :P)

SporeFox - March 24, 2007 12:39 PM (GMT)
lol, but i already knew what it was for, just not really what it did...

Binary makes up everything on the computer, since hard drivers, ram and all the rest of it only store 1 /s and zero, or true/false etc.
The instructions are binary, the datas binary and everything between is also binary, even every pixle of colour on your screen, sound your computer produces or anything else.

so what binary does in a computer is quite a long answer :P
On a simplistic level, looking at an assembly level language can explain quite a bit, since its so close to the machine code (binary stuff)

SporeFox - March 25, 2007 02:23 PM (GMT)
i just finnish computer class, i know what it is!!
