Ok this game has been done in a lot of other forums, but I'd like to start one here too, since they're usually pretty cool. For those who don't know how to play, it works like this: Each day (or as often as I can get on) I will post an "update" of our creature, as well as a few options on what we want to evolve about next. Then you guys vote on which option you want to evolve into, and the next stage begins, with the voted option added. I'll post the first "update" now:

Life has been evolving in the oceans for a long time, and has finally gotten complex enough that evolution has started to take hold. Our creature is of a species of single-celled organisms, which are othing more than energy-refining blobs. They are microscopic in size, and gets food only by absorbing water and chemicals from it's surroundings

Vote-
A ) evolve cilia.
Lets the organism to move about, but also increases energy consumtion.
B ) evolve a stronger membrane.
Makes the organism more hearty, but also makes it harder to reproduce and grow.
C ) grow in size.
Makes the organism tougher and gather food better, but makes it harder to reproduce and requires more energy.
D ) evolve photosynthesis.
Allows the organism to get energy from sunlight, which is a good source of energy but is unreliable.

Er, not quite sure you understand. A couple of you guys vote, then I post a new update with the new options. Sorry if it seems like I'm being a stickler, but just trust me, it's fun, especially later on. (this is a more long-term game than most forum games)

After many weeks, the organism has reproduced many times, and among some, a crude form of photosynthesis has formed. These mutations help them greatly, and so they survive and prosper while the others still struggle to survive.

Sorry, guess I'll try and clear this up a little.

1- I post a choice of options, which are different things the organism can evolve into.
2- You choose which option you think is the best bet, and post a reply with your choice, and your reason why. (if you want)
3- Other people also post their choices, until enough people have voted, or a day has passed.
4- I post an update with the change(s) made, and a new set of options.
