Title: swim walk fly or colonize?

mattam - April 18, 2006 07:57 PM (GMT)
i know that u might not be able to fly but if you could...

these are if you STAY this way so dont count it when you go through water stage

the colonize one isnt if you just make citys on other planets its if you"ditch" your home-world.

thanks :D  :o ;) :P B) <_< :( :)   :ph43r:

i've been wondering the samith thingith...

dorkfire - April 22, 2006 10:19 PM (GMT)
hmm probably be a swiming race.

BoBopotato - April 23, 2006 03:43 AM (GMT)
I wonder if you can be an amphibian...

Strabo - April 24, 2006 01:38 AM (GMT)
Yeah, an amphibian creature would be pretty sweet. You could make a frog creature that eats those big spider things from the movie (a really, really big frog).

This is off topic, but how large can your creature get? Can your creature be the size of, say, the Empire State Building?

To answer my own question, however large it can get without it's circulatory system failing.

I've noticed that most people are voting for the land option. Probably just want to do something we can relate to before venturing on, I guess.

How would a flying creature have a hut? A really big nest in a tree? Or a city? A bunch of seperate nests? How would they colonize a planet? Build a big tree or something?

Sorry about the double post. I'd already posted and I thought of this.

Haven't you seen fanciful movies where there are flying cities or ships, and for whatever reason creatures (humans, unknown, etc.) live there. Now that would be cool. But personally I would go with anything.

Strabo - April 24, 2006 10:56 PM (GMT)
There's an idea for a flying hut. . . never thought of that. I was thinking more of these annoying robins that build nests everywhere.

I wonder how you would make a flying hut in the "in-game builder?"

Give it little fans on the bottom?

Strabo - April 25, 2006 10:36 PM (GMT)
Or you have like some big floating circle to put stuff on.

Strabo - April 25, 2006 10:36 PM (GMT)
Personally, the nest idea sounds more likely to happen.

SporeFan09 - April 25, 2006 10:39 PM (GMT)
Did you notice you triple posted? I think large aircraft would be the most resonable out of all the flosting ideas.

SporeDrooler - May 15, 2006 04:58 PM (GMT)
It would be very nice if you cold do atleast a flying creatur that wouldnt reach the tribal phase.

I heard somewhere that flying creatures have cites on the ground they just get around by flying. If I find it I will put it here.

think i heard the same thing... but who knows?

I'm not quite sure what i'll make. They all sound appealing.

A vicious alien-eating fish with sixteen arms and feelers instead of eyes that would only work in dry environments.. yet its.. DEADLY!

or..

A vicious flying creature with dragon-like traits but a heart of.. fluffy... powdery... gooey.. stuff that makes him a true sucker for everything!

OR

a vicious bipedal creature with five fingers on each hand, arms that extend to its waist, two legs and two feet, a head, two eyes.. one mouth, restricted hair, and intelligence?

I'm not really sure what id do.. its all so appealing!

If air creatures can land and walk around instead of having to fly ALL the time. Im Flying all the way.. or.. maybe a flying creature who can only swim and fly? or all three!

guru42 - May 17, 2006 10:34 PM (GMT)
It probably wont be possible, but it might be neat to see what would happen if you took your creature to a different world at each stage of evolution. I dont know if this would add any diversity to the options for your creature, but it would be neat if it did.

SpazzInPink - May 18, 2006 11:04 PM (GMT)
My first one is probably going to be either swimming or walking as I'll want to see what you can do with the basics and discover more as I play.
The whole game in general seems very complex, so it'll take me the first time to just get used to it all.

thx guys for voteing so much and if you havnt voted do so now please! :D

P.S. i know it said mattam made this poll but that was my old account so....

SporeFox - September 2, 2006 01:53 PM (GMT)
a flying snake with feathered wings and two forearms. problem solved

anyways, in all of the movies i've seen with flying cities, the cities were on giant propllers...or the flying creatures could build cities into the sides of cliffs...or just build a city on a cliff...
