Is anyone here good at making banners here? I'm trying very hard to make some, but text is sloppy and I can't make them without it being blocky (see the current banner to see what I mean). If someone can make one for me, while I can't give much, am willing to give littler things on this forum such as custom ranks, raise some of your rights, etc.

If anyone can help me, I'd be grateful.

Well, I don't necessarily mean choppiness. I mean more like...I'd like to have the picture part of the text without having "two different pictures". While I like the banner, a new one wouldn't be bad, either.

I just took your banner and changed a couple of things. I put black around the picture and changed the colour of the font. It took me three seconds so don't feel obligated to like it :lol: :

Haha...nice to see some of your are chronic liars (cough...Coffee...cough)...I'll wait to put any banners just in case someone else happens to post a banner. I'll then go into a 'prelim' banner viewing...see if any or all catch my eye...and if I'm interested in more than one, I'll put it up to a members vote.

Which do you prefer - the bold or not-bold one? Cause I want you to pick which one. They both look nice! I'm leaning a bit towards the first one, but you can choose.

And thanks for the compliment on my banner. I thought it wasn't too bad...except when I saved it and uploaded it, the text got kind of blurry.

Oh...and don't worry about how long it took. I went on a run and did a bit of a workout while I was waiting (had to excercise).

I think I like the first one better. Less stretched. I'm glad you like it ^_^

I chose the :: in front and behind the name because I couldn't really think of a name for the website, but just calling it "Spore Forums" is dull and could inflict on some copyright things...so I thought...."HEY! Just throw some icons in there and it'll be just fine!"

Hence the name ::Spore:: Forums

::Sprore:: is a good idea! It really catches the attention. Oh, and I put a link to this site on Pink Imoen and Sims2talk in my sig. That is okay, right? (Just wanted to double check if you'd be fine with it.) ;)

well I personaly like the bold one. I was thinking though perhaps make it ::SPORE:: the Forum instead of just ::SPORE:: Forum .It sounds a little cleaner to me not to mention i always end up putting the in there anyway. I was also kinda thinking how it would look with a gothic or old english script. Thats just my opinion though.

Yeah, both are great. The only reason I'm siding with the un-bolded one is because it looks for some reason like it would fit the game more. It looks like it would be written in that font...but everything is in prelim. stage...

I tried some with gothic text:



I used "Showcard gothic" on the top and I used "Copperplate gothic" on the bottom. The old English text looked really bad IMO.

Whatever you think. They are both pretty much the same, no HUGE differences so I don't think anyone would really care all that much if you set up a poll or choose for yourself. :)
