Just found it whilst browsing. Looks either like concept or toys. I can see the trademarked 3 legged 3 eyed creatures, and tweetybird and buttface, the tanks and a building from the 'demo' movie, as well as two other creatures im not sure ive seen.

I think before.

People have been saying that theese must have been made after, since it would be easier, but I remember digging up an interveiw in which he said, along the lines of:

"we made all the things we wanted to make, creatures, buildings, veichals, then we took them apart and looked at all the parts we needed to make them, which we then made accsessable through the games editors"

Of cource, looking at the parts hes got, theres things i'd add, like flatable sacks, but thats just me...

so he just recreated the tripod instead of creating a creature of the top of his head?

Probably. I think there was another talk just before the gdc one, where the woman made almost exactly the same creature...

erm, those clay creatures were made by a spore fan after watching the video as far as I know, not by any of the game staff :\

Nope, definatly an official shot. Besides, some of the creatures there wernt shown in the video, and only came out in the PPT about half a year later...

i dont know but those look pretty detailed including the colors

Point of interest - at E3 there were 'sculptures' of the creatures printed on a 3D printer, and this might be what that was...
