Okay - I not saying that this site needs one. The question however is:

Do you think that sometime in the future (most likely before Spore comes out), we should change our layout up a bit?

I've been looking through a few skinning pages and have found a few decent ones. I am not suggesting that we need to change at all.

But I'm just wondering. Because change isn't always bad. In fact, I'm pretty sure the layout WILL change at some period in the future.

Just wondering for some feedback. And if you think we should, then perhaps a timetable of when.

no facelift is needed and will never be needed..........
i happen to like the green colors and their are several reasons why.

one this site has a unique color and it stands out from all the rest
cause you go from forum to forum and most are just plain white.
two green is easy on the eyes than white and black after youve looked at
a computer screen all day eerrrr....... not that i would do that or anything.
and finally change is not always for the better and i couldnt even think
about the spore forum being different.

oh and i like this picture at the top

I could care less. I get used to new skins pretty easily.

EDIT: Actually, you could just make it so if one goes to My Controls, go to options or whatever, then there is a choice of what skin you want.

Eh...I'm not quite sure how to do that...though it would be cool to have several of those skins...


For now, I've decided a nice Christmas-season skin will work. I have a skin picked out as well as two banners that were made for us by Coffee and Froglaet. I also have some buttons and such. I think I'll put it all up next weekend...that would be a nice time to get it all up.

I might have to lock down the forums for about ten to fifteen minutes during that time while I add all the codes (for the surprise of course!), but it looks like this will be a good time to switch things up (temporarily, of course!).

Sorry that I have been away for a long time, I have been way busy.

This site needs no change!

It's actually not permanent, however, Rein. This is the 'Happy Sporemas' special skin. It'll be changing back by the middle to end of January.

This temp skin has made me change my mind, I wouldn't mind at all if you changed the skin, you have great style, and I wouldn't have to get used to it.

Well, I plan on switching back to the old style of the site...for a while.

Then, I'll toss things up a bit. Dunno how, but I'll do something...not necessarily anything major.

I'm sure whatever you decide is going to be great.

We'll all see how it plays out. Perhaps I'll find a way to add several skins, or perhaps I'll do a poll...only time will tell...

I like the current skin... but in my opinion (even though i dont think i should have a big say being as i'm new here) the forums need a real spore-like theme but not something that hard on the eyes.

IE. No single celled organism pallets for the forum style lol.


But as i said, i like the current and besides you have sims 2 areas too! which wouldn't be fair if we sporeized this place :P

Don't worry. The other skin that we USUALLY use is easy on the eyes - it's green and black, mostly. Very clean. Only problem is the PM system has some glitches with color.

Im sure itll all work out fine at any rate. As I mentioned. I dont really believe my opinion should be taken highly. I feel bad when i make it because im new. I know, members are equal and all that but being new gives me no veteranship or points :P so i feel below the rest of you here!

I guess with such a small community who've managed to keep these forums online and have them mentioned in the largest Spore Fan club community website (which i found by mistake AFTER id joined lol) I kinda feel like im invading. Spammers, flamers, and various other groups are invaluable at this site, but NOT our good members, no matter how new or veteran you are to this place. The only person who TECHNICALLY has more say in this site that the members would be ME, but I like to have the members participate in any forum-goings.

Hmm, I think the site looks very unique and wonderful, but I do think that the black everywhere is a bit much. I think it might look better a bit lighter, as that would be easier on the eyes. It's still your choice though, Ace.
