Title: Groups, Ranks, Etc.

You may or may not notice the different colors in the Members Online section of this site. This is because of a ranking thing I have set up.
When you first join the site, you become part of the "Members" group. You will remain a "Member" until you reach a certain post point. Members can access MOST forums. Certain restriction such as only 20 messages can be in your PM box and you only have one hour to edit any posts. Members' names are in the standard color.
Once you reach 15 posts, you join the "Elite Members". Elite Members get access to all forums (except in the case of an Admin/Mod forum) which includes the "Billboards" forum. This allows you post your own website in here to increase traffic. Those who are not in the members cannot post in there. This is to prevent people who register and only join to advertise their site. Elite members have their names in silver. Spamming to get into this group will result in your posts being deleted and temporary/permanent "Members" group.
The only other position is the Admin position (currently only me). I obviously get to access all forums and my name is in gold.

When this forum gets more popular increase the elite members limit. But don't do it yet because this forum just started.

I don't plan on increasing it anytime soon. Perhaps later on, but I know a much larger site that only uses fifteen posts.
For now, I want tons of people to be posting their sites. Cause that means more people are signing up and posting.

Why thank you, O Queen.
I actually got my idea from the same website I got this skin. They required fifteen posts to get into the area that lets you get codes for skins. Thought this would help make people at least post a little bit before they leave forever. Maybe they'll get hooked while posting and stay!

Sounds complicated. But I'll do my best to be a good member and earn my privileges. The part I don't like is the thing about editing posts... I edit them a lot...

I was thinking about making it two hours or so...so if a couple of people can agree on a set time, I'm all up for it. I'm just trying to give the smaller posters basic rights and give a few extras to those who post more. If anyone else has any ideas for any extra rights, etc., feel free to post them here. I want this site to be enjoyable to all!

UPDATE:
-Normal "Members" now have 120 minutes (two hours) to edit posts.
-Normal "Members" are now forced to have the "Edit By" footnote after all edited posts.
If anyone has any other suggestions, please post them here.
