I'm currently using a counter to track how much traffic we get each day. We seem to have a pretty steady pattern of, for some reason, that weekends having low counts compared to the weekdays...just thought it would be interesting for some people to see - we actually have some okay numbers. ;)

I find it interesting that the middle of the week is when most people are on vs weekends or begining of the week

i think people are not on weekends because they are all playing or doing homework. like i am now.

I would have thought weekends would have been more popular since people have more free time, but I guess Sith_Master solved that one.

Yes, it surprised me...I mean, how is Wednesday (closely followed by Thursday), when we get the most traffic? It's just so weird...

Not this week though - MEA weekend (Minnesota Educators Association meeting) so we get Th. and Fri. off! This week happens to be our Homecoming, though, so we have homecoming game and dance on Wednesday (very weird...)...but it should be fun...

No...no, no, no...I'm not built to play football...much to thin without enough muscle, but I go and watch the game...and then go to the dance (my first ever high school one - lame, eh - I'm in tenth grade and haven't gone to one...). Several accounts of the dance say that everyone there gets all hyper (probably a mob psychology thing) - similar to the effects of ecstasy, apparently.

Nope...I turned 15 on August 24...so I'm a young tenth grader - the youngest one that SHOULD be in tenth grade (two others kids in my grade are younger, but they SHOULD be in ninth right now)...

well since ive seen your picture ive got a pretty good idea of your age and you mentioned your real age on the first S2T site before the game was even out. plus like you said you dont even live in CA where the Maxis company is located.

While all your observations are carefully calculated, Coffee, you fail to forget that we are all only connected via an internet connection...there is no proof of any of our identities...

As far as you know, I COULD be living in California, COULD be over sixteen years of age, and COULD have submitted a picture that isn't of myself...

But then again...who can prove that you're old enough to be a Maxis rep? And why would a Maxis rep put up so much arguments that may give away his identity?

Its been a while and buzz about the game has died down (although im rallying troops at work and college to hunt down information on the game. I sent in an information request to EA for direct contact or notification to the developers working upon the project :o)

if you ever need more help to protest something concerning spore and ensureing it gets done im there... or wahtever else needs to be doing...

Not too many people have registered here and post so it seems kinda empty for a while... Need alot of people so we rake in on the traffic count. Although, i dont know what we would lure them in with... we have what appears to be the bone of the steak for information. No meat or good stuffs. :(

yeah thats what i meant. There really isnt all that much information out there on the market for spore. All the reviews are the same and were stuck recycling the same information.

I just cant figure out why they havent released more information. Game companies will usually to almost always release screenshots or minor doodads on the game to keep the public interest. Without those updates the Company looses the public interest in the game and it becomes less and less known until the popularity drops (this usually causes the game to be canceled because interest is so low. But not always!). Makes people wonder if the game is even coming out :P

Well, first off, if Maxis cancels the game, they'll sure be unpopular.

But if that were to happen...I would hope you guys would stay here...I'd just change the forum around a bit to be more of a general chat forum.

And yeah...we have the bone. Maybe only the marrow.

Ive only been here a few days and i already like this small settlement of forums thats been setup here. Sure, there are only a few of us who are online on a regular basis but no ones spitefull of another. No one taunts and flames. Its all 'thank you' or help! So i'll stay.

Too agree with you Ace, I dont think Maxis will cancel the game. its far too popular right now, even with the lack of information. What the Demo and msc interviews have told us show a very impressive and promising game! I just wish it'd come out sooner! I dont think i can wait until October or any other time in Fall! If i could choose with concequence Id have it April.. Gives me time to stress its release and wish it were here but at the same time im not indulging in instant-satisfaction :P

How you think we have so many posts with so few people? We enjoy this site.It's good to know youll stay.most of us have known each other (in that wierd online way) since pre SIMS2 as well so were....use to each other.

lol. Well i have the Sims 2 and University around here somewhere but i was never compelled enough to search for forums with it. Nor did i know about Spore until Mid December but even then i wasnt too excited until someone posted about it on the Elder Scrolls forums and i finally dug up some information. Now im in that childish estatic state where you want the game in your hands now. :P Even though i should be too old to feel that way.

But, im glad to see you're not resentfull of my taking to these forums :D

Eh...all of us over at Sims 2 Talk (the original and v3) waited for AGES for the Sims 2 to come out. The forum started more than a year before the game came out. I think we survived (at least, most of us!), even though Maxis set back the date TWICE! First it was a March release, then it was mid-summer, then it was...September? September or October. All I know is that when my mom picked it up for me and gave me the box...it was well worth the wait.

So a lot of use have known each other for a LONG time. It would seem so weird for our large group to break up.

yeah i know. I keep telling myself 'itll be worth it' but im used to finding out about a game a few months before its released. Ive never discovered a game a year or more before its going to be released. its just a new stress and if given the choice id sacrifice playing all my other games for three months to have this game :P

I want Spore badly.. but Oblivion is coming out within the next month or so.. so ill have something to hold me over until then. its just right now.
