Title: 9.24.05 - Update
Description: Elite Members
Ace - September 24, 2005 09:22 PM (GMT)
The amount of posts needed to become an Elite Member has been bumped up from 25 to 35 - allowing all current members to remain 'Elite', but still upping the amount of posts you need to get it.
Please note that the amount of posts you need to become an Elite Member will raise gradually every once in a while until it caps at 50 posts.
After 50 posts, I may consider making a higher group, probably a 500 post or 1000 post group.

HOORAY if were going to have a vote illvote in advance to choose 1,000 post before you become a super elite. :)
Ace - September 25, 2005 03:48 AM (GMT)
Haha...Super Elites? Well, I think I'll have to have a more creative name, but sounds like an idea to me. ;)

i remeber a vote for the name of the elite members you guys all voted Aces Elite but by the look of it the name was never changed. sooo maybe we can call it the Aces Elite?
Ace - September 25, 2005 03:55 PM (GMT)
Possibly - actually, the Elite Members is seperate from "Ace's Elite". That's why the name never changed.

Truth be told, I really don't remember anymore - it has something to do with a title or something, but I've been gone for so long and the Elite Forum is unused, so I no longer remember.
BucephalusStud - September 26, 2005 04:34 AM (GMT)
It was...........something, I don't remember either :P
Immy - September 26, 2005 04:41 AM (GMT)
I don't see why you don't just put it at 50 now. It seems plenty reasonable to me... but I'm most likely the only one who thinks that. lol
tdlob - September 26, 2005 03:38 PM (GMT)
nono maybe 50 now or maybe not if we set it to 50 now then itll be harder for new members to get into elite fourm since we dont have that many members. then again the elite fourm hasnt been used lately so i dont think it would matter much if ace changed it to 50.

What I like to do is slowly raise the bar up - ensuring that all Elite Members are above that point - so if Member-A has 39 posts, I probably won't raise the bar until Member-A reaches 40. BUT, I might do it if Member-A is gone for a long time.
Actually, I've been thinking about it - I might consider leveling out at 100 posts - but that will be eventually of course.
tdlob - September 26, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
k i vote for 100 anyone else?
BucephalusStud - September 27, 2005 04:04 AM (GMT)
100 sounds good to me. The problem that I'm seeing about the elite forum right now is that it's basically being used as a chat room (which I guess isn't that bad). I thought that higher forums were used more for the betterment of the forums and not just a place to chat.
Anyway, that's just me.
Immy - September 27, 2005 07:36 AM (GMT)
What do you think the elite board should have? I'd really like to hear. ;)
tdlob - September 27, 2005 02:20 PM (GMT)
im sorry BucephalusStud but all i can think of elite forums as chat rooms.
Ace - September 27, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
Elite Forums are a place for those who actually post to get away from the hastles of spam and such - it's basically a "Chat" forum, but suggestions about the site, problems, etc. can be brought up as well. :D
tdlob - September 27, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
HEY i already said that in another topic. <_<
BucephalusStud - September 28, 2005 03:29 AM (GMT)
Well, it's everybody, not just you. I don't mean to get down on people here and it really doesn't matter right now.
tdlob - September 28, 2005 03:59 AM (GMT)
hehe  i was just joking?!? ;)
