A local paintballer known to players at both Line of Fire and Wolverine died as a result of a motocycle accident yesterday. The report from the Asheville Citizen is below.
Phil was a good guy and fun to have around. He will be missed by a lot of us.

ASHEVILLE – Police on Wednesday continued to investigate a crash that killed a motorcyclist on Leicester Highway.

Phillip Andrew Fitzhugh, 21, was riding his motorcycle north on Leicester Highway about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when a 2004 Nissan driven by Ryan David Russell pulled onto Leicester Highway from Compton Drive, according to information posted on the Asheville police Web site.

Both men attempted to avoid the collision, police said. Fitzhugh was taken to Mission Hospitals where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. No charges had been filed.
