anybody have an idea of why the change? That wasn't addressed in their report. All I could think of was one of 3 things:

goggle lens issues
save paint costs for the teams
eaiser to verify speed

may not be any of those, just wondering

CFOA rules are based on PSP but not sure if they are going to reduce the rof.

If you followed what was posted on pbnation the reason for the change is to bring skill back in somewhat and to make bigger moves possible more often. I think it was also sponsors wanting their teams to shoot less paint. I know 13.33 doenst sound like much but it can make a huge diffrence to a sponsor.

Last time I played I set my cap at 13.33 and it wasn't that diffrent. I know I didnt waste as much paint as usual.

:D

well at least now theres gonna be more pressure for good shooting and not relying on your rof so much

On 68 caliber today, they said that the Millenium Series is dropping to 12 bps. Something is up here...

I've seen some sites raise the issue that ASTM safety standards for lens was for 13bps. It could be a reason. Remember most lens are tested as new not scratched as alot actualy are used. Sure most pros get lens to change as they want but the majority of players don't. Paint could be it but going from 15 - 12 doesn't really save that much even if you include practice. A case is 2000 rds. to save a case you would have to shoot full auto for 667 seconds (roughly 11 minutes) without let up to save one case. Does dropping 2-3 bps from a stream really allow more moves? Some of you who play alot of tournaments ( Justin, Little Bill, John) would know that better than me. What do you think?
