Title: Resident Evil Outbreak Script
Wardog 117 - September 20, 2007 02:04 AM (GMT)
6 October 2007
Version 1.2
Proposed Itinerary
10:00 AM: LOF opens
10:30 AM: Final Ref Briefing
11:30 AM: Player Briefing
12:00 PM: Game Begins
Basic Premise
Resident Evil Outbreak will run similar to the Blackhawk Down Themeday. A group of players will be chosen from the crowd to be the human players for the round. The rest of the players will be a zombie player for the round. (Example: If there are 100 players, there would be 40 humans and 60 zombies)
The human players will be divided into four equal teams and placed in the Four Corners of the fields in play. (2 in the small woods/city, and 2 teams in the airball/city)
Zombie players start pre-placed around the center of the field.
Each human player has a specialty of sorts, which allows him to aid the group in different ways. (See Below sections)
Human teams can band together in order to better survive, but this of course is their choice.
Humans must complete objectives that give them points and allow them to escape the city.
Armbands
Humans are the only players who have armbands. If they turn into a zombie, then they remove the armband.
Zombie Elimination Rules
Hits on the arms of zombies do not count, and the player can continue to play.
A hit on either the chest or back of a zombie forces him to rejuvenate. This time will vary depending on the number of players who attend.
A headshot eliminates a player for 2 rejuv cycles.
Human Infection Rules
If a zombie hits a human player, he is considered to be “bitten” and is now infected.
The doctor has until the next rejuvenation horn sounds to find a first aid kit and cure the infection.
If the doctor is unable to do so, he becomes a zombie player as the horn sounds.
An infected player cannot shoot.
Human players can choose to shoot/banish the infected player if they fear he will turn before they can use a first aid kit on him.
Fields in Play
Small Woods, City, Airball are the only fields in play for this game.
Zombies can’t go past a certain line in the small woods, which will be indicated by tape.
Locked Doors
Some buildings are locked with a chain and only a Security guard with a set of keys can open them. If a team has lost their security guard, they must find a set of keys.
Extra Antidotes
They can be found at the Umbrella laboratory. Can only be used by doctors.
Nemesis
A character from one of the zombie sides will be chosen to play Nemesis each round as a form of crowd control. He will keep the zombies or humans from completely dominating.
Human Character Classes
Each human player has a specialty of sorts, which allows him to aid his group in different ways. (ONCE A PLAYER HAS CHOSEN A CLASS, HE CAN’T SWITCH DURING THE ROUND)
Raccoon City Police Department Officer
An R.P.D. Officer wears a bulletproof vest. This allows him to take a chest or back hit on the vest without being infected.
Security Guard
A security guard carries a set of keys that can open locked areas. Without your security guard, you will have to obtain another key set to open the area.
Doctor
The doctor starts with 2 First Aid Kits. These kits contain Viral Antidotes. This allows him to cure infections that are caused by hits from zombie players.
Soldier
Uses blue paint. A soldier can eliminate a zombie for the rest of the round with one shot in any hit zone.
If eliminated, walk back to the helipad and turn in your special character equipment.
Overview (45 MINUTE TIME LIMIT)
The human teams must find the following objects:
Computer (CPU)
Keyboard
Stand
Satellite dish
Battery
A MONITOR WILL BE PLACED IN THE TOP OF THE HELIPAD. PLAYERS CAN MOVE IT IF THEY WANT TO.
Once they find these things, they will set them up any place of their choosing and a ref will then raise a flag over the helipad signaling evacuation can take place. Players hit on the helipad must be healed or will turn into a zombie.
Bonus Points will be awarded for objects found that are not part of the list. (Virus in case, etc)
TIME LIMIT IS 45 MINUTES
PROPOSED GAME SCHEDULE (1 hour per round – 45 minutes of gameplay, 15 minutes of setup/break time.
Note that referees will be responsible for starting these games on time and will be held to account to this. The fifteen-minute periods between games are for water breaks and field setup. If games run faster than expected, than start the next game ahead of schedule.

there will be some minor tweaks and we will keep that posted. If you guys know anybody thinking of coming, get them to read the script before they come. One of the continuing issues with theme days is confusion on what to do. We do a breifing before the missions but many still don't remember it on the field. If they read it beforehand then it should be eaiser to remember.
Thanks

All they need to know is you go out and shoot the other team. Let the newbies worry about the objectives.
