Do the creators of this theme day know the rules and the objectives, if not i cand throw in some ideas.

The creators (Toby, Gus and I) have all played Gears, but we have only "kicked around" some ideas. Since the themeday is in August, we are focusing more on events from now-July first.

You are welcome to post ideas.

Some how we should throw in the nightfall element in. Like after a certain amount of time some areas count as shadows( the woods and open top buildings) and the COG team can not enter those places or they will be called out AKA-eaten by krill.

The bosses should both be imune to krill, well atleast the bad boss.

- just some ideas I thought I would suggest.

EDIT- if you want i could make a complete layout for you to look at.

GEARS OF WAR GAME LAYOUT[SIZE=7]



ROUND ONE
Rules- The locusts have one life. The Cog each have 3 lifes and they must tag base to re-spawn. There will be less COG players. Around the map there will be 30 COG tags that lie near red circles painted on a surface. These are worth points to both teams.



Objectives

- Assault the city- The COG will attack the city and try to get to the resonator.
- Retrive the resonator- During the city battle, the resonator must stay within one building and be gaurded by the locusts. There must be ATLEAST one locust with the resonator at all times. When the locust with the resonator gets shot, it can be picked up by their team mate. It must be picked up by a COG and returned to their HQ for the round to end.Or the COG all die ofcourse.
- Reach Extraction Point- The game does not end until every COG is at the extraction point or DEAD (this forces the players who hang back and hide the whole round to get some action).

ROUND TWO
Rules- This round is special because one general frome each team will be chosen,Marcus Pheonix-COG and General RAAM-Locust. Both bosses ecxeed there fellow team(they each have 5 lives and must be shot 3 times to re-spawn) but RAAM can go in shadows... Buildings without roofs and the woods will be the shadows(in the game when you go into darkness these bat things called krill swarm down and tear you to bits, so these areas are off limits to everyone exept general RAAM. The COG still have 3 lives and must tag in. The locusts also have 3 lives however they can tag in at 3 scattered emergence holes.( 2 on the speedball

Objectives
-COG Hold off the attack in the city -The locusts fight to kill the COG and ViseVersa.
- Plant the resonator - Marcus must plant the resonator in the middle of the speedball field and get out in one life.
- Detonate the resonator - the detonator is in the COG HQ (in the bottom of one of the 2 stories and Marcus must detonate it in the same life as he planted it). When this happens the round is over.


ROUND THREE

Rules- The morning has come, no more shadows. The rules are simple The COG must invade the forest and assault the temple, COG have 3 lifes and locusts have infinite(they tag in in the temple). To transport the Lightmass bomb 2 players must be touching it (this includes the COG moving it into the perimeter and the locusts trying to move it out).

-Kill RAAM-Marcus has to kill ram with a special weapon (undicided) with one shot.
-Plant the lightmass bomb - Get the Lightmass bomb to a place inside of the tempels perimeter.
- Detonate Lightmass bomb- Marcus must go to the pelican and tag the detonator, a ref will spot it and blow the horn. GAME OVER!

Is there a way that we could somehow get the corpser in? Even though he was really easy in the game, he still is kind of a "poster enemy" for the game.

Yeah im trying to think how to put in a berserker and a corpser in it but nothing has come to mind.

I know Billy, Butch and I had discussed just having a very padded unarmed player run throught the field tagging players as a Berserker. You get tagged....you go out. (Kinda like the Ringwraiths in LOTR). Does that help any?

Wish we could get Dale harper (on his stilts) to play a berserker. You guys remember when he played a 'hunter' at the 2nd Halo game on his stilts? That would be quite cool.

Billy has made the first chainsaw for the chainsaw guns (I don't know their 'game name') and it looks sooooooooo cool! I can't wait. Any body got a good idea for the Hammer weapon? We were thinking to kill a berserker that maybe someone could shine a red laser dot scope on them while someone else shot them with the SPNKr weapon. Any others....?

Chainsaw gun is the "Lancer Assault Rifle"

Your blackhawk can be the downed Raven helicopter.

For the Hammer of Dawn, is there some way where we could use some kind of overhead device to take out the berserker (like the satellite laser in the game?)

Probably the coolest way would be to drop an 'overhead' load from a RC Helicopter, but that's probably just asking for a problem. I'll keep thinking.

one locust also known as RAM should have a power up, somthing like 2 guns or infinaint lives untill a can or somthing someone can shoot down and then in the end have the final show down
