Title: Next "World War" Scenario
Description: What should it be?
Wardog 117 - September 11, 2006 10:09 PM (GMT)
What would you like the next "World War" scenario to be based upon?
World War I
We would try to have lots of artillary and possibly trenches dug in the woods. This game would probably be run east vs. west. (One team controls the small woods, half the city, half the big woods. The other controls the airball field, half of the city, half of the big woods)
World War II (Pacific Front)
Americans vs. Japanese. Naval bombardment perhaps from the "vorpal bunny cave". Normandy styled invasion. Close to the same thing as the "Western Front".
World War II (Western Front)
Allies vs. Germans. Normandy breakout. Similar to last year's game, but with some improvements.
World War II (Eastern Front)
Russians vs. Germans. More city fighting than last year's game.
World War II (African Front)
Allies vs. Germans/Italians. Less woods play than before, more airball, possibly more tanks.
Vietnam
More woods play than before, less city, maybe more artillary.
Be sure to vote and post why you voted
I voted for World War I. I think If we could have small trenches in the woods (or above ground sandbag and tire trenches) it would be really neat. The concept of playing east vs. west I think would be a nice change compared to our traditional woods vs. city game.

How would everyone like a trench warfare maze to be added to a World War 1 themeday?
lilbill303 - September 13, 2006 02:57 PM (GMT)
where would you put that? that would be sweet
Frobo - September 13, 2006 04:36 PM (GMT)
the best place to do that would be PBC. There mounds field is crazy. Hey bill remember playin agains mark and justin on that field?

Gus - September 14, 2006 02:01 AM (GMT)
You could do it on the airball field. Remove the air bunkers and use stacked tires. It would be just for the theme day only.
Drex7107 - September 14, 2006 12:15 PM (GMT)
I think the trenches would be awesome
Ninjas Inc. - September 14, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
no, dont hurt the airball feild.
also with a maze there would be alot of complaints about close shots. and people would knock down the tires.
Wardog 117 - September 14, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
That is why it should probably be in the big woods. It would give something to the big woods that is unique, and would possibly make more players want to play a "big woods game" during the day.
Pyrosoldier - September 14, 2006 09:22 PM (GMT)
I voted befor i saw Vietnam as an option, We should do that. We could have some of the objectives from
We Were Soldiers.
PS This movie takes place at the La Drang Vally.
Wardog 117 - September 15, 2006 02:53 AM (GMT)
Had an idea, you could use this in either Vietnam or WWII Pacific Front:
Flame Tanks
Use the same tanks we were using, or maybe similar ones with minor improvements. (If you played in WWII this year, you know what I mean; if not, it was a WWI styled tank) Have a player in the front of the tank with the flamethrower from WWII scenario that we had waterfights with after the game. He would use the flamethrower like his own gun. If you are hit with the "flames" you are dead and have to rejuvinate like a regular hit.
Keep those votes rolling people

Trenches arent really that fun unless they are setup right. But if you were going to go that route wardog is right. The big woods would be better.
Also something that would be kinda better is limiting how many players can actually play. Too many and I dont think it would be good.
Wardog 117 - September 16, 2006 03:43 PM (GMT)
I think the east vs. west would allow more players to play.
Pyrosoldier - September 17, 2006 12:14 AM (GMT)
not to sound rude but how would east vs west make more people be able to play? i mean wouldent there be the same amout of people in all of your poll options.
Wardog 117 - September 17, 2006 02:28 AM (GMT)
if you have the field east versus west, there is no "bottleneck" point. North vs. South games always seem to bog down around the pelican. There are less players in a N vs. S game because of this and due to the fact that there is tends to be more overshooting when more players are stuck in one place and can't move out of it.
An East vs. West game allows for a longer line of scrimmage, so more players could move up and down the lines easier.
Hope that made sense :)

thanks for explaining. :)

Eric - September 19, 2006 07:44 PM (GMT)
if we did the vietnam theme day, the vietnamese seemed to have more tunnels in that war and so the tunnels would be on whatever side vietnam was on.
antistorm - September 20, 2006 12:02 AM (GMT)
yall are about half stupid...
when you build the tunnels for toby then youll have your tunnels!
HE HAS A BUSY LIFE!
HE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!
lets get it going...
Italian Stallion - September 24, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
I voted for WWI. I would like to see a trench system.
joshivens - September 25, 2006 03:21 AM (GMT)
i would think that the vietnam one would work if you put some effort into it. it would be a change from the ww2 theme day from last year, but the tunnels would be very hard to get working.....
Wardog 117 - September 25, 2006 07:38 PM (GMT)
tunnels=digging=treeroots=really hard
Wardog 117 - October 29, 2006 03:00 AM (GMT)

Wardog 117 - December 3, 2006 06:09 PM (GMT)
Question: Would you rather not have Vietnam and just have Black Hawk Down?

Who cares what we call it. Lets just shoot at each other and have FUN.
As long as we have 2 teams and an objective I'll be there.
SAPPER69 - May 1, 2007 04:07 PM (GMT)
You gotta remember....Veitnam had small citys to fight in, lots of rice pattys, and plenty of jungles. If we did a Veitnam themeday, it would allow for use of every part of the field.
LOFPB - May 1, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
Sapper, good to see you on the forum. You make a good point.
TBALLADAMONSTA - October 3, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
look, we a love paintball. it doesnt matter what we are playing. it's paintball all the same
Frost - November 13, 2007 07:48 PM (GMT)
I voted Vietnam. Because 1. WWII has more movies and video games after it than any war in history. Vietnam was a conflict that gets very little attn. What so ever. I would like to think we owe it to the boys that fought over there to play a game in there honor.
With that said 2 words Sapper squads!!! a little fishing line and paintball grande go along way. Also you can do your tunnels above ground with tires or what ever all a tunnel really is, is a trench witha roof just make a trench cover it some thing like plywood and later. You can take it off and have trenchs put back on and have tunnels.
rice pattys Open field fighing comes to mind in the airball field , sweeping and clearing hooches on the city field and combat patrol/ambush on the small woods fields. A we were soldiers scenario in the big woods. a find the sniper in the city (full metal jacket) that can happen at any given moment,. have guys out every were just hiding and waiting, ready ambush at any time. Tadda you Vietnam!!!! :D
Heavygunnar - November 13, 2007 09:14 PM (GMT)
You could have a injured crew in the helicopter and put god status snipers in each 2 story shooting every body going to rescue them. (they would need 450 rnd hoppers)
The ranch would be a great place to stack hay bails to build a lay down bunker with a roof.
Just a few more ideas

I would so get a pair of black PJs and one of them pointy hats for a nam game
great ideas gunner ! you can do the same in the big woods with like tree limbs and stuff too.
evil_buddha - November 21, 2007 05:19 AM (GMT)
lets break away from here of pre-set history games here and maybe go with world war III its new and it leaves the alot of room for new ideas :D
Wardog 117 - November 21, 2007 04:01 PM (GMT)
Actually that is what we were thinking.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare?
