You can exhaust the fan away from the wax to create air movement or point it towards the ceiling but never directly at.
In the high school here when there summer cleaning rooms they have two barn fan at one end of the hall and another at the other. They bungee cord them to hand carts for easy movement. The offices only have air conditioning.
