I even have that problem at the P.D. So when I put the screw back I put contact glue on the threads if its a nut and bolt or a metal screw before I put things back together. If its a wood screw and is loose I put a toothpick or old contact match in the hole with some carpenters glue and then tighten it. Some might say well how do i get them out. Most of the time you don't have to take them out and it saves a piece of furniture because when the scews or bolts are missing and the furniture parts are missing it hits the bottom of the dumpster.
Going to put in a new screw and its really tight rub the threads on a bar of soap. Oils from the fat reduces the friction.
