Up to this time custodians where unheard individuals. Now that this website was created its a focal point for custodians to come together. Its a website where they can improve their daily work by sharing techniques and procedures. Things that work and don't work. New ideas. Ideas to give a united voice to the industry that serves us from chemical products and equipment. Share techniques that you think are the right way to do it to help not just others that have been in the industry but those that are just starting out that don't have the resources available that others do. And frankly when I post an idea I hope that someone that has more experience and resources will follow up with the way it should be done, because I'm still a green cleaner.
And I think we need to spread the word by getting a draw into the site when interested cleaners are searching the web. Eventually janitors will be able to come together for bargaining because they will have a wider knowledge of benefits throughout the state and the nation.
In just the few times that I have seen where cleaners are from that participate in this site: I'm in awe.
Can you imagine what it would be like for all off us to met and sit at a table to discuss in person topics of the cleaning industry. Wow! I think we would be amazed by the diversity of ideas
