Thats the stuff that they use to glue the neighbors hammer to the ceiling. I had a bunch of the little 1x1 inch pieces fall off the drip rail in a bathroom. I had used this stuff before so I just put some on the back of each piece and stuck them in place. I even filled some separation of tiles in the grout line with the stuff. For the heck of it I wanted to test the strength so I glued a big washer above a door. I think the only way it coming off is if I hit it with a hammer and chisel. I have had varied success with wood and I don't know if thats due to moisture content. I asked one of the kids at our Menards (home improvement store) and he said no really we use it alot in the back to put stuff up and it works. When I get unsolicited excitement and enthusiasm I usually try the product.
Thats like a friend of mine who works at Home Depot that suggested I buy the faucets with the ceramic washers. He said they had a demo where they put a paper clip on top of the washer and then cranked the handle down till it wouldn't tighten them anymore and when they opened it the paper clip was in bad shape but the washer showed no sign of damage. Thats probabely the reason they replaced all the medal bearings with ceramic bearings in all the bikes in the Tour De France this year.
The school buys an epoxy from True Value. It comes in about a two gallon container. I'v seen them repair broken urinals with it. Sorry I can't remember the name of it.

My former custodian that retired introduced me to Welder all purpose adhesive. He had some table top laminate pop up so he glued it down and clamped it down with the above and he was excited about the results so I bought a tube.
One day I was emptying a 3 hole punch with the smoked plastic hole catcher. The catcher has two tabs that slide in and hold it into the punch. Well I dropped it and one of the tabs broke off. Well in questioning success I glued it with the welder and set it straight. When I left I slowly put it back into the punch. The next night I pulled it out and the broken side vibrated and was rock solid. I couldn't believe it. jumpjoy
I also glued some laminate down and it held well. Around here if you notice it; glue it, otherwise its going to be broken off and you might not find the piece. :pullhair:
So now I keep a tube home for quick repairs. Christmas I used it on a ceramic bear that had broken ears. Now his hearing has returned. :notlistening:

I have used silicone or bathroom sealer for glueing .Works great for name plates on walls ( need to tape it until it cures ) and when the names are changed it's quite easy to remove and re-apply. Bonds to anything, great for almost anything. :ten:
