Please give me some input on vacuums that pick up stones, get corners etc. I am leaning towards a canister. It is also for ceramic tile.
Need names and reviews. Thanks.

Pro Team canister vacuum. 150 cfm. Light weight and powerful. Corners are hard to get anyway and if the rocks are to big I will disconnect the hose from the wand and just bend over to get them and the same with corners. This is easier than disconneting the tool head. I've learned that some rocks because of their shape are resistant to suction. If theres too much drag with an empty bag you get a tool head that is scalloped that releases some of the pressure. You know I'm an advocate for 150 cfm. This is the next vacuum I'm getting for my home. This vacuum is a backpack on wheels and its light enough to pick up and carry up stairs etc. Sometimes after changing a bag I have so much pull on the carpets I have to pull stroke to clean until the bag gets seasoned or partially full. This is also do to the head I'm using; The scallops on the head do not release enough vacuum. I prefer to have to much suction in the beginning then not enough once the bag gets seasoned. This is when I know the carpet are and look clean down to the backing. I clean laydown mats and hardwood floors and on the floors after vacuuming they shine and the elimination of dust cuts down on the overall cleaning in general. I don't like upright brush vacuums because the only have about 70 CFM and the brushes put too much dust back into the air.

I am a big fan of Pro-Team also. I use the super coach on my crew. They are really powerful and more reliable than any thing else I have seen. I replace a power cord or switch about every other year and that is it. I have only had one motor burn out, that was after a teacher went into my closet, with out asking, took a vacuum, plugged the hose and ran it until it smoked. A science experiment!!. Needless to say, I charged his classroom fund for the replacement. Other than that, they are excellent. :vac:

vac1 If I might add my 2 cents on vacuum's I have over the couse of about 40 years used many. Between work and home (4 kids) my all time favorite is my backVacumm. It's a Nilfisk Advance and can go any where and pick up just about any thing. But thats just what I like.

I do Office cleaning and I use an Oreck Commercial Vacuum, its light weight, I can use it on dry floor or carpet. and It has an Ergonomic design It can be used very easily with one hand and you dont have to change the position of your hand, the on-off is a thumb switch. Its awesome.

I use a Pro-Team Tail Vac. It is lightweight, powerful, and quiet. I change my bag daily to optimize performance. They also have many attachments, such as a wand with an air driven beater brush, many other floor tools and dusting tools. I cannot sell the night crew on switching from dust mops to vacs, but hopefully soon it'll happen!
