A co-worker of mine was strip/waxing a really long hall way that was being used the following day due to classes. So our supervisor had us do it in 3rds. 1/3 each night fully stripped and 5 coats of vectra wax. Whats the best way of blocking the splatter from the previous nights work, or would it have been okay to strip most of it in one night leave uncoated and finish the next night.
It may be late, but for future reference, make sure your pad is the correct size and in good condition. Also, when you move the machine one way, it spits forward....the other way and spits backwards. When you are close to the newly finished floor, try only moving the machine in the direction where it spits backwards. Again, if it were hands on, I would have an easier time explaining.
When doing this ,I leave about 18" unwaxed from the previous stripping, then the next section I strip up to the previouse stripped part staying well away from the fresh wax. If the stripped section was dirtied from the days traffic it can be easily scrubbed out or go over it quickly with the machine with no liquid while stripping the new section. Like mopjockey said, run the machine where it spits backwards.
