PLEASE READ THIS

You know, Collector and I have been saying for some time that a console shouldn't need to be replaced within 3 years. It was bullshit that MS released such a FALE prone console, but at least they'll repair it for free. I'm not happy about it, but they have the decency to try and make good. Sony's answer to "my product you sold me doesn't work" is usually something along the lines of "too bad, sucker!" if not "we meant to do that" and this seems to be a case of the former.

I was annoyed when the PS3 retailed for $600. I was annoyed when Sony had a campain of douchebaggery. This is just unacceptable. I'm not so much angry as I am frustrated that the industry is adding more bells and whistles to justify a higher cost while being dismissive about reliability. I drive a Civic. It's not fancy, but it's not gonna fall apart and it gets the job done. What console from this generation can we even say that much about?

PS3 was starting to look nice.

I'll still be getting one when i can afford it. $300 for a blu ray player plus console is pretty reasonable, plus i'm sure the failure rate is a tiny tiny fraction of the 360's.

that's not saying much...
