Title: Were all Sega Master System games released on cart
Description: ridges

I know that some Master System games were on cards, but, were all of them converted to Cartridges at one point?

Marcelo X - January 30, 2009 05:28 PM (GMT)
I can't say this with any authority, but no.

Collector - January 30, 2009 07:43 PM (GMT)
For the US, absolutely not. If you include Brazil, same answer as Marcelo.

Did Brazil's SMS even have a card slot? I can't find an answer but I'd suspect it didn't.

Come to think of it, in the US at least, were ANY card games converted to carts?

I don't know of any offhand that were. I'm no Master System expert but i've never seen any crossover.

There were not. I know that much from my checklists. There would be no point anyway. The card games were the budget titles. Putting them on a cart would mean paying full price for a crappy game.

One point would be to make them playable on the SMS2. And about paying full price for a crappy game, well that's more than half the library already. :D

strizzuth - February 2, 2009 10:32 PM (GMT)
Yeah but I don't think Sega actually CARED about the card games. Spy vs. Spy was probably the only one of them with any depth but they would have had to go through licensing again for that one.

And are you somehow insinuating that Alex Kidd in Miracle World is not worth paying full price for? :D

Collector - February 2, 2009 11:55 PM (GMT)
Seemed like Sega didn't CARE for the SMS much at all.

Oh, no, Alex Kidd in Miracle World was awesome. Totally in the same league as Super Mario.
