Title: Gladiatorial combat
Description: New home made mission

I got this idea after seeing "ancient mega structures" on nat geo. And wanted to know what you think of it.

Gladiatorial combat
When a Kabal makesraids on imperial world those who are taken can suffer 2 different paths to a certain death, either trough torture or as prey in the arenas of Commorragh.

Mission objective:
Defeat youre opponent

Setup:
48" by 48" playground mark the center and put 6 markers 18" from that point.
These represent entry points for the units and each represent a number on a D6.

Deployment:
Each player may setup up to 2 units these may never be a MC or a HQ at the start of the game. From round 2 on the player can attempt to bring the remaining units on the field.
But rather appearing from a board side roll a D6 the result shows at wich of the 6 markers the unit appears. (When they appear they must always move away from the marker)

Special Rules:
Each army may only select units listed as Infantry or Cavalry* but they may not contain Deamons or Psykers, and they count as having 2 cc instead of any ranged weapon. (no other restrictions)

*These restrictions do not apply to Tyranids as they can be seen as exotic beasts and such.

No Special Character except Lelith may be used and the Dark Eldar player may only use those available to the Witchcult army list. (Wych lord, wyches, hellions, reaver jetbikes, beastmaster/ warpbeasts, mandrakes)

Other rules: Victory points, random gameplay.

Hopefully i made my intentions clear on this one.

what size games are your thknking of here. 500, 1000, 1500 ???

Looks ok for me anyway, a good way to get a couple of units of wyches to carve up some slaves

maybe not have any other DE troop types except for wyches and warp beasts. Hellions and reavers may be a bit too powerfull for this.
Especially with their high movement and special rules.

And fluff wise it would be fitting having those to units in the 'gladitorial arena'.

Any size i think (it should be bloody and entertaining for our Commorragh citizens.)

yeah thats for sure. ill be able to give this a go in about 3 weeks time
getting ready for a tournament ATM so a bit busy .

Ill keep you posted on how it went.

a mate of mine only has about 400pts of blood angels and we have the occasional combat patrol game so this should change things around a bit and keep things interesting anyway

I'am looking forward to those results and try to get my nephew to test it out with me to.

i played this scenario over the last weekend and found it like this.
it was better playing a smaller points game. (200-600pts)

we also found that giving "the slaves" an extra 100pts worth of troops was a good idea as wyches tended to tear through them with ease.

We also dropped all saves taken by slaves to 5+ to take into account their stature as slaves.
