TheEagle82 - March 14, 2007 11:02 PM (GMT)
Ok, so how about a scenery competition?

Everyone can use scenery, so its practical as well.

If anyones interested i can post a compete Spec list.

The Banished Ranger - March 15, 2007 12:09 AM (GMT)
Definately!!! I won't dilly daddle this time!!!

Ultstadt Solvek 7th Rider - March 15, 2007 01:07 AM (GMT)
ill see about actualy finishing my blown up bridge peice. :P

TheEagle82 - March 15, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
Ok, sounds like theres interest...

Scenery Specs:

Size:
Can be no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches and no taller than 12 inches. Thats roughly 30cm for you non-yanks. :P

Colour:
Must be at least 3 coulors. Just a spray primer won't do.

Models:
It can contain holes for bases, but no actual models unless they are dead and fit into the scenery. No dead models in a flowery field!

As soon as Cal deems it, we can begin. Or get shot down...

Actually, get approval from Cal, and then the begining of April we can begin!

Calaith - March 15, 2007 06:33 AM (GMT)
Well we once did have a scenery competition, of which Krazyboris was the winner. You may go ahead and do it again if it does please you all, but I'll ask people not to re-enter models they did in the last competition.

Finally, I suggest a large amount of time given for people to finish this, as terrain pieces, especially ones 12" by 12", could take quite a lot of work and time.

Cal

EDIT: Mine's 14inches by 7 inches. Can I still enter it? :P

TheEagle82 - March 15, 2007 06:36 AM (GMT)
Aside from the horendous amout of jokes i could whip at you... Sure, its still in the 1 cubic foot mark. ;)

And, say April first to May 14th? Then Judging the 15th to the 22?

Calaith - March 15, 2007 07:19 AM (GMT)

Sounds reasonable.

And I apreciate you not acting upon your little joke, though I'll be the first to admit that you have a point...I won't edit my last statement so that others can share in the hilarity. :P

Update report:

Just wondering who's actually working on something and who is planning to work on something. I got the inspiration so spent my entire Sunday working on my piece, and I don't want to be the only one to enter. :)

Tsk tsk... working on it before the time!

I actually have several idea's, and got a 12x square of Masonite to make the terrain on.

Don't worry, there won't be just you Cal.

Though good to see you enter a comp! :D

Calaith - March 19, 2007 10:52 AM (GMT)

oops, I didn't realize we weren't supposed to start work on it yet!

Sorry guys, rest assured I'll stop work until the first of next month. For now I'll work on my entry to the 'Golden Scarab' over on the CSG.

Cal

**Whistles**

The Banished Ranger - March 21, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
Shoot! My cliff is way to big <_<

Hmmm...I might join but I might not be able to. I'm moving soon so I'm a little busy.

Ultstadt Solvek 7th Rider - March 27, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
well... i thought it was due april 14th and i realised that that was when the creat a race comp is due so i thought i wouldnt be able to enter. Now that i read it again, i think i can make it. Ive got the water effects stuff and everything so all i need is time... allthough first comes first. I have to make the race... B)

Calaith - May 5, 2007 12:28 AM (GMT)

Closing date is coming up in just over a week. How are people faring? Are we able to see any entries yet?

Ultstadt Solvek 7th Rider - May 13, 2007 06:35 PM (GMT)
i havnt even started yet. :(

Ultstadt Solvek 7th Rider - May 31, 2007 06:04 AM (GMT)
umm... i assume that this is put off for a while or even canceled?

I havnt even started yet due to my increased work o\hours, exams, other contests, models not for contests... and watching TV.

TheEagle82 - May 31, 2007 02:22 PM (GMT)
