I got the Jetbike Autarch with the Cloudstrike box, but haven't put him together yet. Would you guys consider that a decent model or just a gimmick?

I haven't had a real close look at the new mounted Autarch model, but I do quite like what I've seen of the model so far. I was tempted to buy the Cloudstrike box set actually, had I half decent finances. But then again I probably would have bought the Necron Phalanxe instead of just the single Monolith.

It was a great pack for me to get since I had three JB and 1 Vyper...
so that gave me a full squad of each (12 and 3.)
I just looked at the Autarch as a bonus. Plus, the box set was waaaay cheaper than buying nine jetbikes, two vypers and a jetbike autarch.

I am irritated though that it didn't come with any shuriken cannon upgrades. It should have had three in there. I guess I'll convert from the heavy weapons sprues or something.

If you want to buy a Wave Serpent for one of your other units, it comes with two of every heavy weapon, including Shuriken Catapults. It actually comes with a third Shuriken Catapult as well, but that's for under the Serpent so may require some conversions.

Tactically I would have thought that Scatter Lassers would have been better anyway.

Correct. There are two heavy weapons sprues.
One for vehicles (which the weapons have a hole in them for turret mount. skimmer tanks and Vypers have this type.)
and the other is for ground forces (with the tab like the ones that come with Guardians, Wraithlord, War Walkers.)

Any of these would require conversion.
I was looking at the parts the other day and put it off to do some painting instead.

Perhaps I will be inspired to work on it one day.
