Title: The Current Making Of A Dead Marine.
Description: As seen on Boot Camp and WIP!

Not the Entry, yet, as i still have to tweak it a bit today.

The "Lucky" winner of the random lottery. He was a model that i made this year at Gamesday Baltimore, but never painted or finished modeling. So i PRIED him off his base, and jacked everything i could use.

The plate standing up was from the origonal base, there was a Land Speeder sensor on the back that refused to come off, so it became one with the model. The base gets a little more later on, but thats a few pics off. You can see where the plate was covered by another plate, and thats as far as i ever got on the prior attempt at a dead marine.

Then, after thinking about how i wanted him to die, i decided that disembowlment sounded nice, so i placed the torso and the legs apart, securing them both with greenstuff.

Ok, apparently the photo limit is a bit under what i need, so heres part 2.

Then i rolled out more greenstuff to use as his intestines.

Placed said greenstuff intestines on the base, trying to make it look semi-real, as best as i could. (Its my first time with intestines.)

Then, after eating a nice dinner of sushi, i looked at the chopsticks at thought "I could make a tusk out of that". So i proceeded to drill a hole clean into the middle of the torso, and carved the chopstick down to make it fit the role. I also added more battle damage, the aforemeantioned drilling and slashing, and used some J.B.Weld Waterweld to make a sandbag like bade for the back, adding in a few chopstick shavings to make it look like an improvised barrier.

Finally, right before priming it, i trimmed the corners of the plate to make it feel more "hurriedly" assembled. Like they didn't have time for a wrench and just yanked it off the wall somewhere.

Ok, so she started out based in black. From there i took a watterd down Desert Yellow (Don't trust my colour memory, i'll try but c'mon, its me.) I like the sandblasted look it gave the dreadnaught base. I used a wide brush so i could get fewer strokes. I also painted the plate Boltgun Metal.

From there i gave the plate a drybrush of Desert Yellow to give it a more matte and worn look. I also gave the lil' fellers guts some colour. Gore Red if memory serves me correctly. I also painted the meltabomb Skull White and Gore Red, leaving the handle black and giving it a Mithril Silver trim.

Then i gave him some armour colour. Highlighting his kneepad, codpiece, and shoulderpar in Electric Blue. I highlighted the Tusk with Bleached bone, but i left some black on the end. Da Boyz ain't known fer dere oral hygene. I also picked out all the battle dammage in Skull White. Then i gave it a modest amount of Scab Red blood, including trickles between the rock slabs. And finally i gave the shoulder pads Gold Piping... don't ask me which gold.

Then i coloured the other kneepad, half the codpiece, and shoulderpad with Imperial Purple. I picked out the head and the Crux Terminatus marks on the shoulderpads in Rotten Flesh. I picked out the skulls on the Cruz in Skull white. Finallt the Meltabomb trap got but back in place.

Then i highlighted the skull plugs on the lower part of the skull in Mithril Silver, and the top portion in Beaten Brass. The Plugs in the back of the skull got highlighted with Hawk Turkoise, Goblin Green, and Fiery Orange. The elbow pads got picked out in Liche Purple, and the remaining wrist was circled in Mythil Silver. A quick drybrush of Brass was applied to the plate to give it a more rusted and work look. The Bolter shells on the base were highlighted brass, and the skull in Bleached Bone. The service studs were done in Gold. The Remaining area around the edge of the base was done in Vomit Brown, And then i noticed that the back had no colour. Do the Sensor got Mithril, Electric Blue, and Imperial Purple, while the sandbag got Vomit brown and a drybrush of Desert Yellow. The Chopstick piece braces gor Mithril and a drybrush of Copper. But he didn't loom right, so i cut a bolt pistol in half and glued part to his hand and part by his legs. It was painted black with the inside painted Boltgun. Then i added the tripwire for the trap.

Ok, you thought that was bad?

I added some guts, and changed the position, and seeing as Ults doesn't come here often, (or ever... <_< ) I figure you'll get the preview before Boot Camp.

So, i took the advice of a few people and changed the legs to make them look more realistic, added more guts n'stuff, glossed over said guts to make them glisten more, and gave it a few more random gore pieces.
