I voted for the Mandrakes. For me, these creatures alone symbolize the closest representation of the Eldar that strayed to Slaanesh. Their singled minded complete ruthlessness combined with the fact that they are truly untamable (if this was your dog, you'd put it down) is what truly makes the Dark Eldar more than just a simple Eldar spinoff, and instead a completely seperate race.

That being said, hopefully the next incarnation of the DE will push those boundry's a lot further.

:)

I don't actually collect Dark Eldar t the moment (it'll probably be my next army), but I'm rather fornd of the Reaver Jetbikes. They look great, and I've heard from a great deal of placeshow good they are on the field.

They may look great, but are quite delicate....

Agreed!

My first 40K army, back in 2000, was a fairly mixed bag of Dark Eldar. I make a point, though, to get two units of Scourges together. One 5-man unit with 4 dark lances, and another 8-man unit with 4 splinter cannons. These guys rocked, and more than made up for the fragility of the rest of the army.

I'm pretty big on Raiders Squads as well.

What I do not care for: Talos, Ravagers, Haemoniculi

Brak'hir - April 30, 2006 01:41 AM (GMT)
Wow so your saying that the scourges worked for you??? ive seen so many attempts to use them effectivly and they have all died horribly, mostly because of their expensive points cost and 5+ save...... Most of these people now refer to them as "Scrouges" lol :D

I really like the story line that go's with the Haemonculus, those evil pain causers lol.

Fairly well at the time, and I suppose they could do better now with the emphasis placed on 25% terrain coverage.

It should be pretty simple to keep just a bit of terrain between your Scourges w/ Assault Weapons and the majority of the enemy force while gliding down the board edge of your opponent's weakest flank. Their ability to get out of harm's way rather quickly really means a lot when they can fly over solid buildings.

And when equipped with a Sybarite (? dang, it's been a while), the enemy must take the unit a bit more seriously. This can be a 'pro' or a 'con' depending on your overall strategy for the scenario, but letting your opponent know what they carry, and what that can mean to them can set the ball rolling in your favor.

Dark Eldar are all about momentum. As long as you control the flow of the game, you have the upper hand. Making the enemy react to your movements will help you retain the upper hand. Scourges excel at this particular endeavor when not left in the open to die.

IMHO, of course. ;)

ITS JUST LIKE THE CAMP! WOOT!!

I voted for Talos. Being a heavy Ork player, I like to get into Close Combat and the Talos is a creation after my own heart. Too bad it's a slow skimmer.
