Title: My Autarch
Description: The Exorcist

G'day gents....we have no ladies.... <_<

Been spending the past two nights at Inq. Liechtenstein's painting and gaming like crazy. We are both very tired, but we both got a bit done. We got very few models painted compared to what we were planning to paint, but I did manage to finish my Autarch. He was quite fun to paint and he has really turned out nicely.

Comic book fans will be familiar with 'Spawn', and Anime fans may be familiar with 'Vampire Hunter D' (my Avatar). The way I modelled my Autarch was highly influenced by these to cartoon figures. His armour as you can see is almost entirely black, while he has a sweeping red cape like Spawn. I also placed long eldar prongs on his back in lieu of Spawn's collar. I've also painted his eyes green, and his jems green to replicate the green hellish power that shrouds Spawn.

I did his belts brown like D, and his sword was loseley based on D's. He turned out almost precisely as I wanted him to, and looks very gothic. Without further babbling here he is!

A look at his cloak. Hidden on the back of his base is a Necron head, as they are a key oponent of mine.

An at his feet is a broken eight star symbol of chaos. (whatever its real name is) Its to symbolize that his most hated enemy are chaos, and he's pretty darn good at hunting them down. (he is, I've tested him out!)

I know he has an empty fist. I'm using the rules for Yriel to repressent him, so it wasn't necassery to give him another weapon. I am considering re painting this so it looks like crackling energy is encircling his fist though.

Nice colour scheme you have there... I prefer the darker, less flashier eldar paintjobs.

Looks really good, the conversion work looks very tight and clean. And the color scheme is very striking, and painted well. Keep up the good work!

Cal... don't you PLAY 'Crons? Are you playing your own private battles?

I have... cause i have to leave the state to get in a game... <_<

But back to the point, the model is very nice. I like the colour scheme, and it has a very clean look to it.

Now i just have to find out what the Autarch is...

Those bloody (Litterally, in game terms anyways) Dark Eldar players... :P

Thanks TheEagle :)

Yes I do play Necrons, but it is no secret that Eldar and Necrons have a very long grudge going. I put it on the base to symbolize the Morag-Kith's hate of the C'tan as well as chaos, as they are just as bad and evil.

I do play battles against myself, but doesn't everyone? Their sometimes fun, sometimes not, but it is more often to play out a story line than it is to win the game.

And an Autarch is an aspect warrior that has studied all the paths of the warrior, but never became trapped upon one. Thus he ascended to a millitary leader who understands all the facets of war, and not just one.

Love it, and the influence's are very easy to recognise, particuarly the cape which gives pff a very strong Spawn feeling. :)

Keep up the good work.
