Description: (With good terrain!)

Drackonis - November 25, 2006 05:58 AM (GMT)
G'day, ive started to make a battlefield template using proper terrain images, correct Troop Indicator sizes as well as the usual movement/blast templates AND as a bonus im going to chuck in a random number generator and if I feel like it, automated To Hit, Armour Save, Wound etc calculators!

Anyway, tell me what you think so far!

Get it *Here*

Holy hell, Congrates ona great job Drackonis that looks GREAT!

If you could just tell me how were you intend to put the random number gen and that stuff.

Do you have any ideas on how to represent troops?

Also if you could make up a full blown map so we could actually see what it looks like when we play the games that would be great.

Good work

Thank you! For troops im planning on getting their approximate dimensions in inches and making their outlines, ive already done so with a Land Speeder and a standard base but ive got to find out how big other things are and put them on. Also, im going to put the number generator in the resources section. Ill get to making an example battlefield layout soon.

You may not have thought of this, but what about movement? Do you have a scale or something like that?

Drackonis - November 25, 2006 06:40 AM (GMT)
Yep! I plan to use a circular movement template, the centre of the template will be placed on the centre of the Troop Indicator and that Troop will be able to move anywhere within the circle. The same will go for shooting and blast templates.

Wow!! I'm very impressed, when you get a sample up and running, we will have to run through it.

Thanks for the support, im going to put another version up now. It has an example terrain layout as well as example troop movement and shooting template examples, it also has a To Hit and Damage chart and, as the real punch line, a random number generator!

very good but with 1 noticable error... the random number generater... if i roll 6D6 one would assume that you would get for example 5,3,3,4,6,1 however i get a single digit like 32 or 24

Umm don't worry about the number generator, we found and add-on for MSN that allows us to roll up to 90 single D6 dice at once.

And it doesn't add them up together

To get it go here and download it:

have you sorted out application sharing yet or are we still out of luck?

Euleze - December 21, 2006 03:11 AM (GMT)
Actually, with this new dice rolling system, we don't need application sharing, so we are all ready to go

i still suggest getting Cal to ask -wD if he ended up finishing the OG program

Euleze - December 22, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
I've asked him already and he said he was unable to finish the program. Besides the way we are doing it now is prefectly fine.
