This part of the forum is were Ork players can hang out.

So weather you just want to hang out, ask for help, have questions, want to talk ork or have some advice, welcome aboard.

I have a question to all the Ork players out there, are they a hard race to play, or are they underpowered, as it seems that the general feeling RE orks in our gaming club is "they arent worth bothering with". I have always thought they looked cool (model wise) but felt that they were 'out of sync' technology wise, so much so that they struggle in most fights.

Hey man I totally agree with you. Orks are really hard to play and you need to know what you are doing to use them. Yeap they are a great army to collect model wise and yes they are behind in tech.

But when I play tabletop I wouldn't mistake them they can become a big threat with the wrong move.

Not an Ork player, but it seems to me that their just a bit underpowered compared to other armies. In the 2nd and 3rd edition they were always made out to be a real force to be reckoned with because of their numbers, but now that Tyranids have been updated and have taken over that role as the "There are no end to them!" army.

The orks just need to be brought up to date with the new fancy pancy Tyranids, Space Marines and Tau, and they'd be quite powerful again (hopefully.). Their just sort of in the same boat as the Dark Eldar.

Umm yeah I suppose Cal has a point. Orks are very much behind with Tech, but then again, their ability to make custom weapons can be an anger to other players. Just think a Roket launcha strapped to a big shoota or a plasma gun. I would be thinking HOLY CRAP.

Yeah but Orks are full of spurises, did you know some are able to hold two large weapons at one time. And their ability to have two shoots with a power weapon and not one.

And they Dark Eldar are in a completly different league to the Orks, but this isn't the place to talk about D.Eldar

I don't know Orks are still fairly strong. They outnumber the Tyranids surely.

I,ve been an ork player for a few years now, and i find them to be great fun to play with and paint and not to mention the converstion you can do to them!

You'll find that alot of us ork players seem to expect to lose, so when we win, man it feels good :D i played the other day and played against this guy who used Chaos marines, and won!!! I admit i did roll some sweet dice ;) and my dread took out his daemon prince :)

Saying that, I agree with you guys that the orks are in need for a revamp! they need some more fire power!! until then i'll keep wining 1 game in 4 and have fun doing so! B)

Yep win you win with orks it's a great feeling. However until the revamp I don't think there are going to be to many more victories
