I'm curious about a few things, but before I make any comments, I'd like to know if this list is based off of all of your available models.

farseer of beil-tarun - July 23, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
yes it is

Give this list a review...

Heroes:
Plague Priest w/ Bands of Power, Warpstone Amulet, Extra Hand Weapon
--- This guy has a possible 5 Str8 attacks and a 4+ Ward Save
Warlock Engineer w/ Storm Daemon, Dispel Scroll, Warpstone
--- Just a bit of magic defense, and 3D6 Str5 Magic Missiles
Assassin w/ Warpstone Stars, Smoke Bombs
--- Used to harass the enemy, this guy is a real character killer, and can trash units of multi-wound models like Trolls and Ogres.

Core:
30 Clanrats w/ Standard, Musician, Ratling Gun Team
30 Clanrats w/ Standard, Musician, Warpfire Gun Team
10 Stormvermin w/ Full Command, Shields
10 Night Runners w/ Extra Hand Weapon, Throwing Stars
2 Giant Rat Packs w/ Packmasters
3 Rat Swarms
--- Keep the core units cheap and numerous. Use your Stormvermin as a flanking unit, keeping your Plague Priest hidden behind them until the moment is right. Rat swarms should target the enemy's cav, or whatever unit takes the place of cav in their list, while the other smaller units harass flyers and independent characters. Two solid blocks of Clanrats, and the Ld9 provided by the Plague Priest, should hold your line fairly firmly.

Special:
2 Rat Ogre Packs w/ Packmasters

Rare:
1 Warp Lightning Cannon

1494pts.

farseer of beil-tarun - July 24, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
did i mention that the slaves in my original list are skink model that i use as slaves.

krazyboris - July 24, 2006 01:27 AM (GMT)
lol, sweet! I must admit I would never have considered turning a horde of skins into slaves, nice work!

farseer of beil-tarun - July 24, 2006 01:34 AM (GMT)
thanks, i can't wait to add those men of the empire i got last week

Chivi'queleste - July 24, 2006 03:08 AM (GMT)
I use a bunch of Gobbos for my 40 slaves. I haven't modeled the neck chains yet, but I will...

Well, if the slaves cannot be converted, then they'll have to do, just don't bother with any upgrades besides the musician. The others are a waste.

Also, keep each unit as cheap as possible without reducing its effectiveness at it's primary task. Special characters tend to be a waste.

farseer of beil-tarun - July 24, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
okay, i will

farseer of beil-tarun - August 15, 2006 03:09 AM (GMT)
i think that skaven could field 150 rats or more in 500 pts
