MWS is
Magic Workstation. It's a program you use to test decks online. Once you have downloaded and installed it you must also install card packs which can be found at the same site.
Common questions:
How do I pass the turn?
-Click on the rightmost icon of the center bar
How do I change phases/steps?
-Just click on the corresponding button in the center bar
How do I attack?
-Tap your creatures during the combat phase
How do I connect to my friend?
-Open the "Connect to an opponent" screen and click the "Wait" tab, then click "Wait" and an ip adress will appear in the bar, copy this and give it to your friend, then they will need to put that adress into their connect bar.
How do I do effect X?
-Manually, this program is nowhere near as advanced as magic online.
How do I change my name?
-When a game begins there will be a pop-up window asking about sideboarding...etc. You can enter your name in this window. Alternatively, in-game you can go options>preferences and change your name, this will take effect when you start a new game.
Common Commands:
Pass untap/draw step - double click the icon in the bar for either. This will untap/draw you a card.
Pass the turn- ctrl+enter
Untap your permanents - ctrl+u
Shuffle - ctrl+s
Flip a coin - ctrl+f
roll a die - ctrl+i
draw7/Mulligan - ctrl+m
Draw an arrow - Right click on a card and drag to another card or a player's icon.
