I just reported Lord Platinum for a really obnoxious post in this thread.

Is it just me, or have the n00bs been getting more gracious lately? At first they are all defensive, but then they turn around and accept our advice.

Tim its bound to happen sometime. I happened to me over a year ago (ok I always took what people where saying as something).

It was a pain untile people started noticing that I could not always get the cards I should use.

Since then its been uphill as you know.



Some times it take a kinda word to get them seeing the light. Otherwise they need a firm kicking. I always try the kind word unless they tick me off. Which has happened once so far.

Some of them are, yes. But that can happen a lot with noobs with potential. If I remember correctly, you were like the people you're describing now. However, people like lord platinum still pop up far too often, and aren't dealt with quick enough.

The ones that have potential are the ones that also try and read (when they find out about) as much as they cam about the format.


Then there are those like lord platinum that might not even read a stop since if was leadin him off a cliff. These are the people that we need to wake up so they see the cliff before they drive off.

When I was at the wizo's boards, I was a huge newb. But I had a different mentality than the current residing ones. I revered Pip, Veru and Shady as gods...so everything I did was an attempt to not shame myself and anything they said to me was taken with close to no questions asked. I read every piece of magic information I could get my hands on and I retained it like no other. I grew exponentially in skill and was better for it. Many are simply not willing to admit they suck, listen to others and try and learn something.

When I was (and in many cases still am) a newb. I did take what they do say I just think it over first. Its best to think as everything as an posible thing and not as the truth. But they are vary right almost all the time in anycase ;) . I just like to think on what they say first.

Not many people are willing to do even that which is sad.
