Maybe. But there are some pretty stupid dogs out there, though. One time one of my friend's dogs got trapped between a wall and a pair of couches, so we moved them to let him out. It five minutes afterword he finnally stopped wimpering, popped his head up, dashed out a few feet as fast as he could, and then sat back down. The only explaination I can come up with is that he didn't realize that he could get out earlier than that.
