So last night im playtesting on MWS (which is a horrible thing to so, because out of 10 different games I encontered 3 competitive decks, and only 1 person who could actually speak English) when I run into this one guy. The title said "Extended, seriously players only" so I thought this guy was legit.

Judging from the title of this post, do you think he was legit? Fuck no he wasnt.


Ok, he wins the die roll, and goes first. First turn play is a Forest. Ok, at this point, a couple of things shoot through my mind in this order:

The Rock
GAT -- Meh, some people still play it online
R/G Beats
Opposition


At first, I thought it was The Rock, and that he was about to go something like: Birds of Paradise, pass. Alas, he played nothing more, and passed the turn.

So, being the Enchantress player that I am, I went something like: Forest, Wild Growth, pass.

He played a 2nd Forest, and passed the turn.

At this point im thinking that this is either a bad rock player, or a Mono green beats player that didnt draw any steam and had drawn a bad hand.

I play something, probably a Enchantress's Prescence off of a played land, then pass the turn

He goes broken from this point on: Forest, tap all three, Elvish Champion.

At this point, I went through the following emotions, in this order: :huh: ;) :lol: <_< .

He passes the turn.

I play a Serra's Sanctum, a Argothian Enchantress, and from the sanctum + plains a Solitary Confinement. He does something like, nothing.

I pass the turn, and he untaps and plays a Fristbourn Hunter or something like that. He then attacks with the Champion. The following conversation went something like:

Me: So, your attacking?
Him: Ya, why do you ask?
Me: Because it would be useless to do so.
Him: Why?
Me: Havent you been reading the cards Ive played?
Him: No.
Me: Why?
Him: Who the fuck cares, stop being a ass and tell me what it does.
Me: Ok, it says "Your opponent cant win as long as this is in play"
Him: Ok.
Me: Do you have any Enchantment removal?
Him: Oh, you'll see.

He passes the turn. He goes into what he must think is a broken play by playing 2 Wellwisher in one turn. He then passes.

I Untap, discard a land, and proceed to go something like: Grove, Grove, land, pass.

He untaps, and plays a Viridian Zealot. I ask him: How many of those do you have MD'ed? He says: Only two, but since most Enchantments suck anyway I dont need more than two. He then proceeds to target Solitary Confinement.

Me: That doesnt work.
Him: Why, and dont tell me to read your cards again.
(At this point, this guy is really bugging the shit out of me)
Me: Well, mabey if your stupid ass wasnt so lazy, you could get the 2 year elementry school degree required to read dumbass.
Him: Fuck you.
Me: Only on Tuesdays.

We debate back and forth for about 10 minutes on why he couldnt win, and how Elves suck against anything competitive. (Meh, Elfstax is decent, but you guys know what im talking about when I say "Elves")

Thats why playtesting on MWS leads you nowhere, too many games go like this (in the Extended labled rooms)

Him: Swamp, Dark Ritual
Me: Lol, What the fuck?
Him: Hypnotic Specter, attack.
Me: Fuck you buddy.
Him: Player Lost.
Me: Dipshit.

Please, never playtest on MWS, unless your metagame sucks ass and you want to playtest against Knight of Dusk.

I started doubting the guy's legitimacy as soon as I saw he has spelled serious as seriously. Thank god that I'm not illiterate!

I was just about to ask why he couldn't Zealot your Confinement, but somehow I read over the double Grove line.

By the way, if you ever encounter "DESTROYAR" on MWS, that's me trolling people.

You played aggro or combo?

Combo version, the one I wrote a giant primer for on WOTC's Extended section of the site.

I think the aggro version is sub-optimal, as it has to dedicate way to many spots to (in my opinion) bad cards, like auratog and rancor, which are useless without the other.

I made up my mind to play combo over control a long time ago, and have never regretted it.

Ys this remonds me about a guy I met who said skullclamp was banned in type 1.

He left after like 10 minutes of me showing him the banned/restricked list. Even when he pulled up the ask the juge thing it still did not say it was banned in type 1.

The guy left like he said he would. Some people are so stupid it makes me :angry: and :lol: alot.

My favorite one is whenever I put "Peasant Magic" and people come in there with decks that aren't even legal in T1 (like 4 Tinker and 4 Black Lotus (that guy was pure gene-e-us))...or did, rather, until it started screwin with my comp.

Very very nice primer, seems I already left WotC when you stepped on that train. I played the extended version at GP Eindhoven and went 6-2-1 with it, making up for a 146th place out of 1011 participants.

I was playing against someone, I titled the game "Serious Legacy" He wins the die roll and goes swamp, then "Ow" from unglued. I told him it was a serious legacy game, not just fun. He said he was sorry for his bad english, he is Japanese then disconnected. I think he was joking. I've gotten yelled at for playing Stompy in a casual game too...

I make a game called T2 !! come non noobs or something like that.

This retarded was playing his extended deck when I said T2 and I kept saying before we drew that it's T2 and he kept saying to STFU and he knew....

Its also pretty bad when you say serious trsting, and they bring their own deck that they want to test. I titled the game Serious Testing and some guy shows up with birds. He said he wanted to seriously tests, and I said that I wanted to test against good decks, and he got pissed.

Alright, just now, this guy argued me down that I could not Stifle the affets of Chalice or Illusion of Grandeur (thats right, he was playing Trix). Of course, I had to explain to him that there are only 3 kinds of abilities: Static, Triggered, and Activated. Then I told him that any ability that occurs when something else occurs (such as coming into or leaving play) is a Triggered ability. He proceeded to win because MWS is gay and hates me, then he made a Noob token and said it was me. Then I called him a 12-year-old child rape victim and he left.

Horos thats about as bad as a buy yelling at me that skullclamp is band in type 1. When I know its not.

Then I had some one say my deck was not legal. I had type 1 there and he was play a type 2 deck (vs my affinity). He did not wonder why he was lossing he just sad my deck was not legal and left. Heloo its type 1.

MWS is NOT a good place for testing with ppl you don't know, I found that out the hard way. Once I was playing KCI and this guy had some elaborate mill deck using Millstone, Grinding Station, and Mesmeric Orb. The sad thing, I comboed off but my deck had so few cards left that my Myr Incubator could not find enough artifacts, and my deck was so small that my Goblin Charbelcher dealt 3 damage... :cloud:

And those annoying people who still think affinity is viable in T2... :nono:


And the people with the biblotheques or bibliotecas or whatever and their "Pulpo Gigante" who don't speak english...

I fucking hate the people on MWS who can't even speak English.

The thing I hate the most is that they always try to talk, but it ends up comming out something like this:

Today I had some one leave after I played a wooded foothills...

Its not the first time.

I have had people leave after lossing the dice roll.
I have had people leave after I drop my hand (using my affinity deck).
People have left from seeing a card they do not like (and saying its banned when its not).
ect...


It seems to me they should just not play magic if they leave after I do my first move.

Oh, how do you play these random people? Whenever I'm bored, and no one's on, I want to play Apprentice with people but I have no idea where to go to find people...

All I do is start a game on MWS on the standard server.

I would rather earn my wins the hard way to try and learn my deck then see them chicken out.
