Well, after Steve mentioned it in the chat, I felt obligated to try something.
The

Splash... Woman? LIES AND SLANDER! WHAT KIND OF MEGAMAN GAME ISN'T SEXIST?!
P.A. Master - June 27, 2008 04:11 PM (GMT)
GAH!
IT'S LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE.
EXCEPT, YOU KNOW, I DIDN'T ACTUALLY THINK THEY WOULD EVER DO IT.
SpaceMonkeySteve - June 27, 2008 04:37 PM (GMT)
As you may know from the chat, I was shitting bricks over this game.
Although I think Bomber accused me of having 'fangasms'. >>
Sora-Chan - June 27, 2008 05:13 PM (GMT)
no no no... the term is Nerdgasm.
*edited for being too sleepy to relize this isnt the speak your mind thread*
MagicCereal - June 29, 2008 08:51 PM (GMT)
You know why it's Splash Woman? Because they didn't want to put my name in the credits.
...Bastards. (shot)
Legoroy - June 30, 2008 12:57 AM (GMT)
Megaman Ancient was pretty hard. Hope Megaman 9'll be a tough nut too.
Legoroy - September 26, 2008 11:20 AM (GMT)
America: 22 September 2008
Japan: 24 September 2008
Europe: 26 September 2008
Just thought i'd remind you.
Asator - September 26, 2008 10:39 PM (GMT)
So wait, it came out over here before Japan? The hell?
SpaceMonkeySteve - September 26, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
You have to download additional content for money? Lame.
But, on the other hand, 2 bucks to play ProtoMan mode...
Legoroy - September 27, 2008 12:54 AM (GMT)
Heheh, achievements.
"Complete the game 30 times"? Yikes.
"Complete the game without continuing"? I'll need to get a lot better at it...
"Complete the game without getting hit"?
...
Wow.
That's Hardcore.
SpaceMonkeySteve - September 27, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
Some of them are really insane, like, get through a level without shooting.
Or, beat X boss in 15 seconds.
There's some crazy ass shit in there, for sure.
ZeroSaber - September 27, 2008 01:43 AM (GMT)
I heard stuff about this.
I may buy it because I've never played a real Megaman game. D:
Legoroy - September 27, 2008 01:23 PM (GMT)
All the robot masters have a "beat in 10 seconds".
It's really well done. Even though they've made it 8 times already, it's still pretty fresh and new.
In other words...
Magnetic Platforms = ARGH!

You poor, poor, virgin fool.
XD To get an idea of what the original 6 were like (7 and 8 were weaksauce), sit down naked on a couch, cover your fist with plaster, then punch yourself in the nuts six times. That's about the one level in MegaMan 1.
Okay, maybe it isn't THAT bad. Maybe it's only five.
And Lego, The original series kinda started lagging after 5, if you ask me. 6 was pretty lame, and then, like I said, 7 and 8 were pathetically easy. But, since I heard that 9's inspiration was 1 and 2, I understand that it is quite good.
Legoroy - September 27, 2008 06:25 PM (GMT)
Feh. I've only played 1 and 2, so I guess that's "SCORE" for me.
Also...
Wily Egg Bombs = AAARGH!!!
Phoenix - October 1, 2008 05:09 AM (GMT)
I just finished playing MM9, and I love it to bits. The only way I could have seen it improved is if they took out the damn vanishing blocks once and for all. That, and maybe stuck in the famous Wily's Castle 1 from MM2 just for the hell of it.
Bomber - October 1, 2008 05:38 AM (GMT)
GalaxyMan's stage might just be one of their best designs. Period.
Leon - October 1, 2008 01:28 PM (GMT)
You know... It saddens me to admit the only robot master i've beaten yet is galaxy man. He was weaksauce. Level was nice though.
I never remember 1 and 2 being this hard. Like... 1 had some decently hard levels, but the bosses weren't all that bad. Two was a bit more balanced with decently challenging both. 9 Is just plain sadistic, if you ask me xD
SpaceMonkeySteve - October 1, 2008 02:13 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the first game bosses were horribly predictable. I got to the point where I could beat Cutman almost with my eyes closed.
Man, I REALLY need to download 9 soon... I may grab 2, while I'm at it. FOR A MEGAMANATHON.
Legoroy - October 1, 2008 02:13 PM (GMT)
Another thing I like is that it doesn't have the NES flicker thing.
The only thing I don't like is jumping out of a corrider. You have to get it perfect lest you bump your head on the ceiling and fall to your death.
It's really fun. Haven't had a really fun challenge like this since Ratchet and Clank 2.
And to top it off...
Out-Of-E-Tanks-And-have-To-Start-Wily's-Castle-All-Over-Again = AAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!
P.A. Master - October 1, 2008 09:06 PM (GMT)
I admit, I have the first six for NES emulators downloaded to my computer.
The only one's I've beaten are two and three. Two was hard enough, but I had an hour and a half of free time at school, and my flash drive, sooo...
One's just nasty. : (
Gutsman's stage stayed true to its reputation; I nearly broke my keyboard in half.
Goroke - October 1, 2008 09:26 PM (GMT)
humm, I tried the OG megamans, and my god I could barely pass the moving platforms in gutsman area so I just erased it...I have alotta time in class, so I should install the "easy ones" first and the infamous 1 & 2 only iPod >:3
Ronike - October 1, 2008 10:17 PM (GMT)
You think the base levels are bad Leon? Just wait until you get to Willy castle... 2 I think. It has this one ridiculous point involving helicopters and zero gravity... Still a great game though!
