Title: President Bush
Description: How do you rate him?
Love4Lops - June 12, 2005 08:54 PM (GMT)
(You don't have to be American to vote!! :P)
Any clean comments on Bush are welcome too (Delphi or Bo or any of the mods/admins please tell me if anything I'm posting is considered innappropriate)
~ I voted "terrible" as I have had several uncles lose jobs b/c of him...and IMO he just seems like an idiot! Yeah, he went to Yale I know - but when your dad is a major political figure, it's a bit easier to get into good colleges.
BTW ~ does anyone else find political parties confusing, Lol? I'm Dem because I am all for the working class but I am against abortion, against gm, etc...is anyone else "mixed" like that?
Hopefully I didn't just start a quick fire by posting this as political parties are always heated as subjects but I thought it would be interesting to see what other people think.
p.s. hopefully my poll shows up along with the post - I've never done a poll before.
MyBabyBunnies - June 12, 2005 09:01 PM (GMT)
The only thing I'm going to say is that I'm not against or for abortions. It's unfair to say that because something bad happened and a girl got pregnant, maybe even before she was out of school that she can't have an abortion. I don't think it's quite appropriate to say exactly what I mean since this is a family board.
Delphinum - June 12, 2005 10:32 PM (GMT)
Hmmm... don't get me started on that pillock! Lets just say I don't like him or his egotistical style. And as for his best friend Tony Blair... Gaaaargh! I could say quite a few words about him!
Cinnabun - June 12, 2005 10:47 PM (GMT)
I voted terrible, just because i hate him, and how he's keeping the war going after we basecully won.. but i do understand that there are still terriosts out there.. but yeah. i'm not sure weither i like abortions or not, both my aunts had one.. but then again im not up for that, if you dont want the kid give it up for adoption, instead of just killing it. but then again if i ever got raped then i would prob want an abortion.. like my health teacher always said you may be agasint it but once something happens, you may not be anymore, and if you may be for it you may not be after something happens.. so thats what got me to really think about that much. but yeah i dont know what i am, if im Dem. or Rep. i dont pay much attention to poltics, lmao.. but yeah i just dont like Bush, lol
Lanna - June 13, 2005 12:09 AM (GMT)
I didnt vote for him and I dont care for him. He is anti stem cell research, which could save thousands of lives.
rabbitrae - June 13, 2005 12:36 AM (GMT)
I love bush even though I don't agree w/ every thing he does. :)
Kismet - June 13, 2005 01:14 AM (GMT)
I absolutely despise "President" Bush and I hate him with a passion. I'm going to leave it at that or I'll probably end up saying something I'll regret.
If I'm feeling up to it later I'll explain WHY, as nicely as I can. lol
:heave: :heave: :heave:

Well, I'm always afraid of these types of conversations, because people tend to bowl over one another...
I don't like George Bush's policies, I don't think he's done a lot of good for our country (not just the war and foreign relations, but also in regards to education, employment, social security, etc.)
I eagerly anticipate 2008 B)

Whats going on then? lol
MyBunnyLovesMe - June 13, 2005 04:23 PM (GMT)
Well, being a Canuck, lol, I can't really comment too much. But, from where I'm standing, I don't like him at all.
I watch these speeches of his, and half the time he stutters or uses the wrong words.
He's all hung up on our cows being CRAZAY! lol So we had one mad cow disease case, why should you close off the border to our meat because of that.
That really hurt our farming industry. I also think theres something to do with lumber, but I can't remember... lol.
Then there's the war, he got Saddam, what more does he want? He's been fighting over there for like...3 years now?? It all seems pointless to me. They proclaimed victory then kept fighting anyway.
I also believe when our Prime Minister said we wouldn't fight along with the US because we thought it wasn't right, he called us the enemy....:(
"If you want fight with us, then you are the enemy" something like that.
Anyway, I don't like him. 2008 he'll be gone forever, and someone else will be in control....hopefully not Jeb Bush... lol. GO ARNOLD!!! haha j/k
K thats my 2 cents.
Love4Lops - June 13, 2005 05:02 PM (GMT)
If you all don't mind I want to post a quote I read on a website...
"There's a rumor that President George Bush had a nose job, that he had some kind of plastic surgery, that he actually had a nose job. If this is true, that's the first new job he's created since taking office."
- David Letterman
Our soldiers' blood is on Bush's hands  ...
I can't wait for '08 either! :spice:
Delphinum - June 13, 2005 06:06 PM (GMT)
I will be anti-war until the day I die... My heart goes out to the soldiers and their families who died during the attack on Iraq, most of them probably never thought they'd have to fight... If they could do that to Iraq, why not Zimbabwe where my family has been thrown out of their farm for being white?!
If they're going to overthrow every dictator, perhaps they should look past the dollar signs and the oil and actually look at the human suffering caused by Mugabe, Hussain and the rest of them, that's a reason for war on the dictators... NOT to see how much they can make out of the country after they've bombed it!
Cinnabun - June 13, 2005 06:46 PM (GMT)
i think Bush just wants to be the "Hero" so hes coming up with all these insane ideas, to become one.. which i dont see him EVER being one.. hes just one crazy person! i was listening to something i cant remember but he used the wrong term for the word.. i think it was on a radio station i was listening to.. darn it i wish i could remember... but it was just funny.. i dont see how soo many people voted him to stay in the office! hes just really crazy! and i just cant stand him.. arrrg!
Kismet - June 13, 2005 07:25 PM (GMT)
I think he abuses religion and religious "morals" to get his way, that's just one of the things that peeves me about them, there are many more where that came from. "Moral man", my butt.
Danno - June 13, 2005 08:47 PM (GMT)
First off, I believe GW bush to be the most anti American person (I firmly believe that he is against me, and Im an 'American') on the planet. I hate his policies, agenda, "morals" and style. He should be tried as the war criminal he is.
Nothing else to say.

I'm not going to be voting till 2012. (I will turn 18 just DAYS after the 08 elections <_<) so i havent really been paying attn. but if this is how people feel, why did he get re-elected?!? how do people feel about Condi? Hillary? other possible candidates for 08?
Love4Lops - June 16, 2005 01:06 PM (GMT)
I don't know whether I would vote for Condoleezza or Hillary in '08, as I'm unfamiliar with both but I would be sooo thrilled if a woman ran and won.

I think it's interesting that he won all the states with electric voting systems, even though most of them, just by the type of people or wether they were typically "red" or "blue" states. Just a thought! :ph43r:

Cinnabun - June 17, 2005 12:40 AM (GMT)
i dunno how the girls would react to it.. they might be offenisve to it... i dont wanna make anyone mad
slrabbits - June 17, 2005 03:23 AM (GMT)
I don't really like Bush.. but I would rather have him in office rather than Kerry. And if Hillary wins the 08' election I am not kidding by saying I will leave the country. I will never live in a country where she is in control.
That is all I am gonna say, LOL.
bumperbunny - June 17, 2005 08:05 PM (GMT)
Almost all our products are being made in foriegn countries now! That's no good! even personal products!!! even band-aids
I know a (weirdo) guy who thinks the American economic system is going to crash this summer.
bunnylover52691 - June 18, 2005 03:25 AM (GMT)
I voted terrible because my mom lost her job because of him. Well, she was going to but then we moved so she lost it anyways. But he is planing on outlawing abortion and I know sometimes it is wrong but sometimes it is nessacary.

MBLM - you failed to see the 'leverage' aspect of the whole mad cow affair ;) See, Canada was NOT going to join the Iraq war - however, some gentle persuasion at the expense of hundreds of farmers - there we are! We are all so dumbed down (and I don't mean to offend anyone - it's the education system, the media, etc. and certainly doesn't affect just north america) that we see and hear about events, seemingly unrelated, and don't look at the timelines of current issues and how these supposedly isolated events affect their outcome.
As for Bush (senior, junior, and buddy down in FL), I consider them a ruthless bunch who consistently end up in middle east wars, whenever in power. Strangely enough, much of the Bush fortune is invested in oil
Oh - I voted Terrible

OK I know this is old but I heard something today that I want to post! :P
I was watching the John Stewart political comedy show and he said:
"What if Bush had The Ring?"
I found it funny...but at the same time very interesting
(no...I'm not a Lord of the Rings obsessive... :innocent: )

Lol I don't get lots of things.
I'll try to describe it without sounding like a LOTR geek! :P
IDK if you've read the books or seen the movie Lord of the Rings (the trilogy) but it is mainly about a powerful ring and whoever has this ring has the power to rule the world...so John Stewart meant what would Bush do if he had this ring that could make him the ruler of the world?
Delphinum - July 14, 2005 01:40 PM (GMT)
 MY Precious!
Sorry, I thought George Bush did rule the world... isn't that why he keeps invading countries! ;) <_<

i dont like the way he is handling the most powerful country on earth, and I don't like the way our John Howard is snuggling up next to him.
