If you need assistance for any reason, please feel free to ask a moderator or administrator for help. If you don't understand something on a thread, just ask and I am sure someone would be more than willing to help you.
Please be patient with those who have special needs, are maybe young and still learning to spell and read, etc. There might also be people who aren't fluent in English here. We want them all to be just as much a part of our forum to share, learn and enjoy hearing about bunnies!

Hi All and Thanks.
I'm a new bunny parent. I found a little one on my dirveway. It was frightened and I was able to get to him. I have decided to name it "Button", as it seems no larger than a button. I don't think it is more than 2 months old.
Has taken to parsley and afalfa and seems to be doing his business ok. Have spent the past couple of days trying to get aquainted. Have pics but uncertain how to post them.
Thank you all for your kind help and I'm sure we will be talking to you.

HI :)
Could you tell me if it's a wild bunny or a domestic?
msred50 - May 16, 2006 01:16 PM (GMT)
Yes he is a wild bunny. But is old enough to be away from the mom. Have gotten a lot of info from this site and really appreciate it.
Thank you.

Hi I'm new and I own the exactly same rabbit on the 1st pic on the banner. I got him a few months ago, about January and hes still a little nervous cause his brother didn't come with him. :(

OMG I have one too! HE's a Cottontail.
Is yours really scared and jumpy? Clover is WILD! but calming down a bit. He was seen flopped inside his litterbox 2 days ago and yesterday.
We want to keep him since he's got a bad leg, but he's so wild it's hard to even clean his cage cause he tries (and succeeds) to get away. <_<

Mine is really doing well. As a matter of fact, I take him into a room twice a day to spend "bonding"time. This is the first time I've been around rabbits so I'm probably as scared as he is.
Tonight I was laying on the floor watching him and he came over and sit under my neck and stayed there until I moved away. It was as though my breathing was comforting to him. He really likes my flip flop shoes and sits on them a lot.
He is a cottontail as well.
I need to learn how to litter train, as I have not been around cats before either.
Mostly dogs and birds.
Never too old to learn I guess! :D

I sent you an email back - sorry I hadn't seen it before today.
The best way to litter train a rabbit is to have a little high backed pan of some kind = big enough for him to get in and sit comfortably.
Place it in the corner that he has chosen to pee in, I like to add a bit of poo and pees to it.
The pee part will come easy but some bunnies always have a few poos go flying - as Bo has gotten older (he's 2 next week) his have gotten fewer. He has a playtime litterpan and his cage one.
