Just thought i'd ask everyone...

Has anyone been to a Psychic lately??? I've been trying to decide whether to go to a local psychic who is meant to be really good. A lady at my work went after her dad died and she said she was brilliant!

I've always thought they would be scary and eerie but this lady sounds really good and very friendly.

I suppose i'm more curious than anything else, whether she will be able to tell me things about myself, like parts of my personality that she couldnt possibly know! And maybe to see if she can give me any sort of guidance.

I'm at a stage in my life where I dunno what I want to do with my life and sort of in a rut so thought it might help me.

Anyone got any stories about a Psychic they have been to?

Or any of your thoughts about whether you believe it or not?

Well remember that tarot reading we did at the pub... that lassie told me a load of rubbish.
However, I do know of some people who've been spot on with things. I say go along and see what it's like, if it's a load of rubbish then you'll know not to bother with her again... if not, you might get something interesting!
I had a reading a few weeks ago from someone that told me I was on the right path and I should go with the flow and let the Angels take over. Also that I'd be starting a new relationship or re-igniting a current one, but I think every psychic throws that one in! LOL
Another one also told me that she saw me helping those who are trapped in this world to go to the light and go contently to the spirit world. :eek: I know I've done some investigating, but I don't think I've got the abilities to connect with spirits. That psychic also told me that the one I had at the pub was a fraud (well I could've told her that! :D)
I'm getting another one this week sometime, so I'll let you know what Rosetta says. :)

awww i've ALWAYS wanted to do that! esp with a Pet Psychic! i've always wanted to get into touch with my pets that die.. and then a people one because i wanna know who is left back in my house like who haunts its.. and also what they would see with this guy im with.. and or what im gonna do with my life..

i think i might call the radio when they have Gary Spivi on it (the worlds gifted psychic LOL) and i'll ask him a question. dunno which one though, lol

I dont call myself psychic. Ive had psychic abilities all my life though. Ive predicted the deaths of relatives weeks before it happened...and births as well. Ive had very prophetic dreams that I usually shre if I think It'll help the person Ive dreamed about.

Ive been this way as long as I can remember. My dad passed away when I was 8 and I had a dream the night he passed....before we knew...mom and dad were separated.


Just one of those things, but I definitely dont consider myself demonic. Nothing Ive ever done has been evil...including the dreams I have.

omg! I ALWAYS have dreams like that too! but i dont remember dreaming about it.. but i remember everything, its like deja vous... but i know its not... it started when i was in 6th grade.. i had a 'dream' in jr high when i took caffine pills that we'd got in trouble with the school because a friend was dealing them out.. and like dreams when i was having a baby, hte last one i KNEW that Missey was gonna die.. i could just feel it, and i didnt even see her die! i just felt it..

rabbitrae did not mean that psycics were demons but that true psycics are in contact with demons. The Bible strictly tells us to trust in God for our help. ;)

ohh yeah i've never stuided the bible, so i wouldnt know.. liek dont get me wrong i believe in God and everything, but i just never read it, and i dont go to church

Everyone has a right to their opinion. I respect Rabbitrae's. I was taught the same thing as a child. I no longer believe that way.

I really dont consider myself physic, but I dont consider true physics demonic either. Many physics have helped those dealing with the grief of losing a loved one, or with finding out what really happened to their loved ones. I just cant believe something that's used for the good of others is truly demonic.

Wow Lanna, I am the same way. I have a really big thing with births! I usually know the sex and I have always been in tune with the "date". One time I was waiting for my friend to have her baby. She lived in Chicago while I was here in Indy. I woke up and phoned her late in the night and said "so when are you going to have that baby" right as she answered the phone. "Uhh, I am putting my coat on now, we are going to the hospital and you are freaky!" was her reply! :P

I think some things can be demonic, but I also believe we have a bit of extra senses we don't use. I also think women have it stronger than men usually.

I completely believe in intuition.

i like pennie's post. i dont think that having a "sixth sense" or whatever is the same as some psychic activities that can/are involved with demons/that sort of thing.

I think psychics are totally different from dabbling in the black arts. :) Fraternising with demons and the like is a very dangerous way to get hurt.
I also knew my hairdresser was pregnant just from looking at her and she was only 2 months gone... no-one else knew. :eek: I'm never very good at these things, but I, for some strange reason, saw it with her.

From what I remember in the Bible it's the purposes it's put to that make psychism good or bad. There are many instances of prophetic dreams and 'knowing' that are part of the Judeo-Christian religion, not to mention miracles.

A talent can never in and of itself be connected with evil, anything can be used for the light or the dark and the people I've come across who have such abilities are firmly on the side of good. That isn't to say there aren't people who misuse it, but people can misuse anything unfortunately <_<

I think most people have the ability to know more than the usual five senses tell us. I've always been able to know certain things, and it's certainly nothing I sought out!

I never even thought about that before Kate... in the Bible, alot of things are said about visions in dreams or when awake... Joseph's 7 cows dream, Mary seeing the Angel Gabrielle telling her she was carrying Jesus... all that would appear to be extra-sensory. Afterall, God does not appear to be talking to everyone in the Bible, but certain people see Angels and have visions. It didn't ever occur to me before. :mellow:
I know alot of psychics are very religious too... Even Derek Acorah on tv talks about God and 'go to the light', which, I suppose, is Heaven. :)

My dad is very much into psychics. He has had a "sixth sense" or whatever you would like to call it his whole life. He can "predict" things that will happen.. sometimes he can hear what people are thinking, or tell you what you are looking at over the phone. I swear him and my little brother could have entire converstations without talking when he was a baby. He has been to many psychics, both the good and the fraud. They have actually brought me up several times. They told him that I have the abilities to be a very good "psychic", but I am denying it. :blink: I don't feel the need to investigate it right now so I really couldn't tell you. I do have dreams about really random, little things that will come true. Nothing really use knowing.. it's just a major Deja Vu type thing.

I would really like to go visit with a psychic one of these days. Perhaps the next time I am at my dad's.. they have some good psychics around there. I would be really interested in what they say.

Oh, and something really interesting that one told my dad- that he has both a miracle child and one that would bring destruction. Well.. my youngest brother is really a miracle child. Both my ex step mother and dad were.. uh.. unable to produce children anymore. Well.. he was still concieved. My dad was suspicious when he was born and had him tested to make sure he was his.. and he was. Now.. the destructive child I am going to have to go with either my real brother or my other half brother. Half the time I swear they are both possessed. :unsure:

Ang, I've told people they were pregnant BEFORE they knew a couple of times. I guess I feel pregnancies very strongly. I don't know why but that was one of the reasons I chose ANNE for my confirmation name. Anne was the mother of Mary. She's the patron saint of mothers, pregnant women and the like.

I believe that we can and do have intuition, and that some of us use it to a higher degree than others. With that, I think sometimes that people can open "doors" to evil but it's not always the case.

I think of the girls of Fatima. They were good, innocent and saw the Blessed Mother. When those kinds of things happen, I think that it's a form of "ESP" or "Psychic abilities" and definitely a miracle.

One time when I was playing on a OUIJI board as a kid, I was asking all sorts of stuff of someone who wouldn't name themself. I actually always thought someone else was pushing the thing and faking me out. Until this time. the board flew up into my face. I never touched another one and they aren't allowed in my house.

I think because my intuition and whatnot are strong, it affected the thing. I had known things as a child that I shouldn't know. People were pregnant, cars would wreck and I would tell of them before it happened. Mom always knew something was up but it scared me. I saw ghosts. I laugh cause I say "I saw dead people" :lol:

I don't so much anymore, but as a child I can count at least 4 I know were ghosts. Finally I prayed to God not to let them show themselves to me anymore because it frightened me. Now I want to go hunting them LOL!

I still need to type out the story of me and my angel when I was a year old. I'm sorta freaking out over the whole thing anyhow, because someone we knew back then just showed up in my/my daughter's life recently. I figured it out and confirmed it. She's just a friend of my parents but it was really strange how it all happened. Funnier was when Mom was trying to think of a name and I said "who's Tony?" and she said "OMG that's it!" and it was. The name of this person's horse back then. I never knew that name other than when I was 1 year old. I might have heard it but it just came to me and I said "who's Tony" before I even thought it.... :ph43r:

I believe that if you can see the future or visited by ghosts you have been in some witch craft or played with a wege board. But I'm sure things to ironicly happen by kind of predicting a death. I believe you but doing it as a phyic thats demonic.

i've been in "Witch Craft" i am sopposed to be a witch also.. since i have been whatever you wanna call it by one of my old friends.. but she lies A LOT so i dont believe her.. i've also done this one thing where you like the spirts go into your body and write on paper an answer you asked it! i've done that A LOT! lol

Why would you want to do something like that!?!?!?!??! How is that appealing????

well i was in 6th grade when my "friend" and i started that with other people.. and then i started the other one in like 8th grade and up.. i havent done it in awhile but it i would like to.. it was a really cool experance

I know witches, atheist, ect ect and respect them regardless of what they believe in. I think someone's already said it but I believe it's all in how a person uses (or abuses) those powers that determines if it's evil or not.

Rabbitrae I can assure you that I have never ever been involved in witchcraft or touched a ouija board :) . I know these things exist and I've avoided them as definitely not for me.

I am and always have been a deeply religious person whose life is totally centred in my love of God. I have often been able to see the future, or things about people that aren't known - and sometimes I've seen ghosts and had spirits that have passed on talk to me, never through my asking or seeking it out in any case.

While I respect the right of everyone to have their opinion I'm not happy that you are suggesting that people like BBB and I are connected to demonic forces.

I was the one who said earlier that abilities of any kind can be used for good or evil, and I know that to be true. I very rarely talk about that side of my life but I accept it exists and I know there's no way it's founded on evil.

Not all psychics are motivated by the devil. As I also said earlier many people in the Bible had prophetic dreams, visions and talked to angels.

I do agree with you that power can be misused, but please understand that that doesn't mean it will be :) .

I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I don't like name-calling and personal attacks, please refrain from it.

I guess what this boils down to is that we all have different faiths, beliefs, etc., and although one might feel things are one way but there are no proofs of this, it is up for debate and opinion.

In other words, everyone has their own opinions on such things as the "unknown."

I don't believe everything done as a psychic is demonic. I totally believe in Sylvia Brown and I think she's a very sweet, and good woman with no demons or negative things going on around her. Not every psychic would get that type of praise from me but I cannot label the entire "idea" as evil or not. (notice my opening sentence? "I Don't Believe")

As with other things, I never force my faith or whatever on someone else or even try to. I hope that others respect my faith and I do theirs. Sometimes I am guilty of being stupid about other religions but I never judge anyone over their faith. Well, unless their faith is like those people who all committed suicide with the Kool-aide. However, that was not really a faith but a cult. Jim Jones was a freak.

Ok, I am rambling on again LOL! I just don't want anyone to get offended by the conversation. Remember it's always polite to say "we will have to agree to disagree" on certain things. :)

Kate you I totally agree with you, and some situations in my life I can tell you! yes I feel there are dark and good forces which I totally believe. Some people I believe have what I feel a extra sense, unperceptive to some who do have and may think it is evil. There are many things in our world that we do not see, nor wish to understand and I don't blame some people in that at all. There were a few times being young playing around with ouji board and other things which I feel open the door to evil spirits or whatever others call them.

And again, I agree with my friend Bo, we are so diverse and share so many similiar feelings and situations. Its so great to see what others think about this topic.

can anyone call a child who has a vision at 4 years old who goes to church and sunday school evil just for seeing a future event.
4 years old is often to young to understand anything about religions and good and evel, a reall good grasp they may have been told but understanding isn't quite there about what it all really is.

mine have been small and random, but children seem to have a stronger sence of it in the first place, I think because childrens minds are so open and innocent they accept more and believe more. while adults have been taught "this is this and that is that" their minds are closed and they have already made up their minds in what to believe.
and I think the very reason people who did it as children and not as adults is because we are quite often taught it is unacceptable behavior or "not normal" yadda yadda yadda.

I think power is just a power or an abality untill you decide how to use it, be it good or evil.

if say god himself came down and talked to you, you would most likely be considered nuts and not believed, but if you knew in your heart, mind and soul it was god you would hold to your faith would you not?

I do not believe a forsight is evil, but i do believe some people try to use it for evil deeds. I have never touched a owgi (sp) board despite friends trying to get me to use it. When they kept pestering me I told them ask the board (group of friends 4 to 5 of us together) they asked and it said "she should not touch this board"
now had they really wanted me to play and had they been in control of the board I believe it would have spelled out I had nothing to fear or that i should play but it did not, and something deep inside told me not to touch.

When i was a child I had a huge doll house out on my porch that i would put my toys in a box and carry them out to play, at 4 years old i was half way through the diningroom when i say as clear as day a vision that my toy black horse that stood on his hind legs would fall and his tail would break off. I sat down and moved my toys in their box, then stepped out the door.. the he still fell and his tail broke..
weird but true a small very non meaning vision but still one just the same...

I've had dreams about people before I've met them I've drempt I'm met them.. I've had dreams about conversations with people that you wouldn't imagine would happen , but they started it.

I have known about some deaths that were going to happen.. and the vet sats i have an uncanny way with animals that the strangest animals are comfortable with me but i hardly think that could be evil.

I have known and do know some witches, but witch craft is not on an overall evil, it is a earth/nature based religion/faith/belief. granted there are some who would use it for evil, just as there are some people in accepted religions that would use their faith for evil (sorry but child molestation come to mind first and formost with a few catholic priests, I know there are others BUT that is one pubically widly known)

each person has their own ideas about what is right and wrong accetable and not.
alot of faiths try saying they are the only "correct one" that only through them will you be saved.. so if half of them are saying that, who's right?

not an attack but just a statement, but being very ridgid about ones own faith as to tell others they are doing evil is the attitude that got people burned alive at the stake.

not to mention people were murdered for stating the world was round when it was believed it was flat.. hmmm while I'm not saying everyone has to agree, I do think it's a good idee not to push your ideas onto someone else, let it be known how you feel or what you see but agree to disagree in a nice manner, or if you can not as thumper is famous for saying, "if you can't say nothing nice, don't say anything at all" I think that about does it :Cinny:

I'd have to agree with earlier statements, we probably all have some ability to see or hear beyond the obvious. BBB called it 'intuition' and I think that's a good name for it.

For some reason, I always have a gut feeling about almost everything, some things more serious than others.
One time when I was about 10 years old, it was summertime and I was going outside to get the mail. I put my brothers shoes on which were way too big for me but the driveway was sizzling b/c of the heat and I was too lazy to get mine. I went down to the mailbox at the end of the driveway, and I suddenly felt this eerie, REALLY creepy feeling, so naturally I looked around me and I saw a blue cargo van turning onto my street. It gave me the creepiest feeling again so I grabbed the mail and started toward my house. The van was heading toward my house and it slowed down when it got to my driveway, by this time I was halfway across my lawn and the van pulled into my driveway, I kicked the shoes off cause they were slowing me down and ran inside. It scared me so bad cause my house was near the end of the street so if the person had to turn around, they could have before...but when I got inside and locked the door, I looked out the window and it pulled back out and kept going the same way. I knew something would have happened if I had not gotten inside - I can't describe the feeling I had. It was so weird.

I think some weird stuff was passed down to me from my mother, and my sister has it too. When my sister was about 3 years old, she told my mom she saw a lady sitting in the middle of our couch, and my sis was never the kind to make stuff up. Also, my mom had a dream about her brother being taken away from her by this beautiful lady in a white gown, and she woke up the next morning to find out her brother had died during the night. He was killed by a drunk driver.

I think everyone has the ability to see or know weird stuff like that...some people just don't give their mind a chance to or are too close minded.

This isnt as far-out (I dont mean untrue by that) as some of those stories but things like that have happened to me to, the first thing that comes to mind is that my riding instructor had a new horse for me to ride. Like all the time i was brushing and saddling it i just knew i was fall off it. no idea why, and i kept shoving the thought down as ridiculous, it wasnt a very high-strung horse, not for the arab it was.

sure 'nuff, i get on, it backs into the electric fence and i go flying.
