As I sit here at my computer and as it's a Saturday night, and my other half is off having fun on the slopes of the Alps and...... I have had a glasss of wine or two...........
I sit here with my bunnies, who perch themselves on top of their indoor hutch (which is under the table) and bump my knees with their noses as I type.

So.......I often find myself sticking my hand into the void under the desk to pat the the head of one of my buns, but I'm often not sure which one I am stroking!
(My buns are quite similar in size and fur quality), so I play this game where I guess which one I am stroking.

So my game/question is.... Would you recognise you bun if you were blindfolded and had to stroke/sniff/nuzzle several similarly sized buns in succession?
A bit silly but fun.... and it's not as easy as you think.

I am aiming to get it right 100 percent. Present score 60 percent success rate.
How would you recognise your bun?

I know my rabbits right side in and inside out....

I was putting rabbits today after a rabbit show and had decided to play a game (before I saw this post). I had the rabbits all mixed up as in bucks and does. As I picked each one up not looking at their tattoo and just their head, body, and 'feel' when picked up I got 7 outta 7 right. I was tickled as a lot of my rabbits have the same faults as each other.

WOW same breed I can't imagine!

I don't know if I would or not. I would love to find out! ;) :D

Of course if I had Bo and some other breed than a rex, I would know him by fur!

Oh No Dwaft Angel, I feel like a bad bunnymum now, I should know my two without fail, but well done you, I can't imagine how you do it.!
It is hard though when they have the same head shape etc. Ruby is a bit more chubby than Fig and I suppose I could havea squeeze of their tummies too!!!!!!
Any excuse to stroke the bunny hey.

I'd know Henry by his ears and fur, he's the only one with huge ears and rex fur. I'd feel round the mouths of the kits to find Gaspode as she has a protruding tooth, Chubby is the biggest, so I'd get her right away and Greebo has different fur in a V shape on his head, so I could feel the different textures. Max is not as smooth as the kits and has big nipples from having her kits LOL so I'd get her mostly by elimination of the rest if not by the big nipples! :lol:

Looking at my rabbits I could tell them apart...dont know how well I would do blindfolded though.

Jane's a big girl so no worries with her. Abby I would know because she tilts her head up to be rubbed...none of the others do that. (Except for her baby, Stormy.)

Tom has a massive head. Jacob has the best fur. George has fuzzy fur so I think I'd know him as well. Zoey's face is a little pointy.

Stormy, Eclipse, star, and the puppies I know I wouldnt have a clue. Theyre just too little to be able to tell them apart without looking.

Hmm, let's see -

Well, Summer is easy (not sure if I would know the diff between him and the pooch, though :huh: ) - Mommy Velvet is easy, too -soooooo much softer than all others - Savi I could probably do, too (he conforms to the 3 S's =small, soft and squirmy) - but Mr. and Miss Shadow????? Nope, don't think I could.

I could so tell Mocha and Spice apart. How? Well Spice is a quirky bunny that pushes really hard with his nose if I'm not petting him good enough! Lol. And Mocha bites my finger if I put it beside him but dont pet him.

I am with Lanna. I can tell them all apart easily by looking. Blindfolded I think I could get all the adults, but the kits I wouldn't have much clue.

The only kits I know I could get offhand is Nitro- because he has a massive head going, and his body is very round and massive. And Sunset, because he has an awesome crown right now.. plus when I left he was the only one who's ears had fully lopped.

Now for the biggin's..

Clinton I would know because he would be buzzing like crazy (I don't think he ever stops, LOL). Lorraine because she is the largest/heaviest of them all. Aimee because she has the rough fur going on right now. Icicle because he has the shortest ears. Tequila, because she is huge, and she has the softest fur. Shimmer because she would be trying to crawl up my arms, lol (she is a velcro bunny). Anemone because she has a really low headset, plus she is the smallest of the bunch. And I think I could get Opie because all he ever does is chin, chin, chin, LOL.

I think that game would only work if you had more than, well...3 buns...

I've got two, and I can clearly tell who's who...ones got up ears and ones a lop..hehe...besides, I haven't even gotten to the point where they would be laying next to each other!! They've only sniffed each others noses through the cages!! It's gonna be a little while! :(

Binkie would be easy to identify....she'd bite me :evilbun:

LOL Can you imagine doing this game at a rabbit rescue?! I'd have no skin left on my bones, it'd all be scratched off! :eek:
