Description: an animal online auction

I am curious to see how people feel about this site. I have used an online fish auction before when I bred Fancy Guppies, but this is open to all animals. I signed up to see what it was like- and their policies seem good.
Just curious as to how everyone else feels about an online animal auction? Here is the link:

I had a look at the dogs and just felt so sad... :( It makes me want to cry when I see animals that are for sale/in homes/unwanted... There's a 'c ow dog' whatever that is and I feel so sorry for her...

I don't like to see this kind of thing with dogs and cats. I think it just allows more room for backyard breeders.
Now I have to say that in the market of rabbits, rodents, reptiles, birds, fish, ect. that it isn't so bad. There is a much smaller market for these, therefore I don't think it really OK's the backyard breeding. But then again.. people will do anything for money. :(

Just had a look at a few of the dogs and it looks like one of the sellers is basically a puppy farm... 3 cow dogs, one beagle, all from the same seller... the beagle also has had pups... they're all chained up outside, it just makes me want to rescue them... I wish I had a big house where they could all live! :(

Auctioning animals off without seeing them in person. Ahh no LOL! Sick people would just post a picture of a prettier pet then what they have up on the auction. That site is just asking for a lot of scamming.

Oh I agree. I wouldn't buy anything from some without seeing it, unless someone I know would recommend them. That's why I don't like purchasing rabbits that have to be shipped. I would rather see them in person, otherwise they could have serious faults you can't see in a picture. =/

I think it is absolutely appaling to have an animal auction site. Some of those animals look SO ill and I feel so sad looking at them. Why would you sell your pet online and not in the local newspaper or something? If these animals are being sold online you have to wonder what is really wrong with them.
