Hey Becc,
Glad you're feeling better and you're going to do teaching. I'd love to do it too but we'll see what happens.
I do log on from time to time but don't really see anyone so never know whether to talk or not.
I'm just struggling through as usual. Nothing to report really.

I'm here.

The past month or so I had some pains and thought I was just having the stomach flu. Well, I had those same pains on August 28th and another eposide EARLY August 31st. The second time, I was actually at a friends house and hour from home and was going to be attending a rabbit show. About 20 of us ate out the night before the show together and that's why I made it an overnight. Anyways, I made it to the show and was still in pain, but knew if I waited I could be on the same road as some friends on my way home. So I held it out promising a nurse and a friend that I'd go to the ER. That's what I did so after xrays and blood tests was told I had an ulcer. However, I was still in great pain and saw the doctor on Sept 2nd where they did another xray. That Friday I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder and was told I had gallstones. I was scheduled to see the surgeon on Friday but was rescheduled to tomorrow. So I will finally get some answers tomorrow as to what we will be doing to take care of the situation, either blasting or removing the gallbladder.

On top of all of this... I'm now working 60 hours a week, well 59 since I leave an hour early for college one day a week.

My weeks right now consist of working 7 to 5:30 Monday thru Saturday, coming home and crashing on the couch for the evening then waking up to feed animals and finding my way to bed. Inbetween all that, I find selective foods I can eat for now.

We did have excitement today though, IKE effects came to Ohio. We had 50 to 60 mph winds and spent the afternoon watching the neighbor's roof playing the piano, another neighor's branches swaying over a car who weren't home, watched a tree lay on another neighbor's roof and watched as the fire department checked out a power pole bent over. We lost power for 5 hours and many people are still out of power. The police/rescue scanner was a hopping place this afternoon with tree, house and field fires, trees on houses and cars, and powerlines/phonelines down.

That's about it here....

I hope everything goes well with the surgery, Amanda, and you're back on your feet soon.
That work schedule sounds like torture! I don't know how you cope. :???:
Also hope everything's okay once Ike passes. I reckon we'll get it in a week or so. We usually get the tail ends of the storms in the US.

Thanks!

Surgery has been scheduled for October 1 which means I will not only miss work but class for that week as well. <_<

I am SO SORRY! I haven't been here. Our computer crashed and I had to track someone down for the link here again!

Hope all of you are well!

HappyBunny - September 27, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
We have just basically ended horse show season. I'm so sad. :(

Mom isn't though. I think she's just peachy over the fact that we don't have to be gona every day, riding and all that. haha

Bo, Clover, and Tony are just fine. They are annoied by our new family member though.

We got a kitten a while ago. (I'm not sure if i already mentioned him). His name is Diesel. But it should be Devil. He is so rotten and Bo wants to eat him alive. haha

I guess we have all been busy!

I go back to the doctor on Monday in hopes to be released back to work! If so, I should be going to a forever job as a medical receptionist. :) Just scheduling appointments and checking-in patients. :D

(Maybe this is why I don't post, I have spent the last half hour trying to get to the reply page and everytime I try the Dell search page comes up saying they couldn't find the page I requested.) <_<

I am so busy with school nowadays that I just don't have much free time! I'm in my 3rd year now so it's getting really hard! But it will be worth it in the end.

I don't think I ever posted this on here but I lost Reese when she went in for surgery to have an absess removed and her teeth trimmed. :( That was at the end of July. It's been really hard without her, especially losing her less than a year after losing Spice. But they were soul mates and now can binky and cuddle together again.

In May I had adopted a little lionhead cross boy to bond to Reese. They were only fully bonded for a month before Reese passed away. Poor Chase was lost, I don't think he had ever lived as a single bunny in his life up until that point. So 2 weeks ago I adopted another little girl. I'm not so sure bonding will be as easy as it has been for me in the past but I'm praying it works out!

For those who don't know, this is Chase:

Yup, both beautifully marked Vienna's.

Mocha and Zoey are still well. I can't believe Mocha is over 5.5 years old now and he's been here for all but 6 weeks of his life.

AWWW!! They're soo cute.

Glad to hear everyone's okay.

I am no longer busy and that changed in a matter of a second, seriously.

I was in a car accident on October 30th just 4 miles from my home while on my way home from work. I had the rightaway and it appears I was hit by a drunk driver that ran a stop sign. I have yet to find out his alochol level or how fast he was traveling at our impact. I do know it was fast enough to flip me on my side where I was trapped for 45 minutes. I was Careflighted to a very good hospital in Dayton and had surgery at 8 am on Friday. My right ankle was broken on both side of my ankle requiring a metal plate and 12 screws. My other ankle is badly sprained so needless to say I am stuck in bed. I am unable to put pressure on my right ankle for 3 to 4 months and can start using a walker when I can put pressure on my left ankle. So I have a long road in front of me right now and I'm already tired of being stuck in a bed! I do get in my wheelchair a couple times a day but can't for long as it causes pain in my right ankle/foot.
