After the sudden loss of Spice, I went to the shelter looking for an adult bunny that had the least chance of being adopted because Reese needed a companion and I needed another little soul to distract me, something for me to concentrate my efforts on, to help me fill that huge gap that Spice left in my heart, and so I could feel like even a little good was coming out of Spice's loss.
Well I adopted a little REW mixed breed buck. He was already neutered and had been at the shelter the longest (5 months). He came in as a stray and was quite young -- I guess him to be about 9 months (younger than intended). He was a little anti-social, he was the only rabbit that moved to the back of the cage when I went looking. Despite that, he was easy to handle so I thought he was well worth my time and effort and he fit the picture of the rabbit I wanted to take in. Well he fooled me! He is extremely calm and easy to handle, he is a little shy but he is more than willing to investigate, he is really settling in with me and I have no problems petting him. They called him 'Petey' at the shelter but I renamed him to 'Aero' after the chocolate bar (to keep with the food theme: Mocha, Reese) and because he has airplane ears.
So here he is:

So far Reese loves him. He knows how to ask to be groomed, but he doesn't understand how to groom back (typical man). <_< He's also been mounting her but Reese doesn't seem to care -- she doesn't run, she doesn't fight, she just sits there and lets him do it. So I think it will work out once he settles down a bit.
